Hey guys, yup, I'm a n00b. I started baiting the other day after my girlfriend bought me shiver metimbers book. I've started a few baits but this is my favorite so far i think. I am posing as Reverend Horton Heat and I insist on calling him Paula..
Anyway here's the dialogue.. I'm thinking about getting him to set up a charity in my name, do you think that would work? Even if he doesn't actually set up a charity hopefully him making documents to say he has will waste some of his time, anyway..

Dear Paula
I don't think it would be right of me to accept such a vast amount of money as I do not believe I am actually the next of kin. Is there any way the monies could be donated to charity or distributed amongst your local community to enrich and improve peoples lives in some way?
Let me know what you think of my proposal

I have the trust in you as a reverend, there is no risk involved in this transaction and all that it required is to present someone details as the next of kin before the funds can be release and I have all the documents to back up the transaction.

Refilwe means "gift" or "to give" in Tswana and has its origins in a vision given by God to Jean Stewart and Yvonne Jaques. In April 1991 they started a clinic on a small site next to the Lanseria Airport, North of Johannesburg. From this grew a wider ministry to the needy people of the area that today focuses on spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, by addressing critical needs in the following areas:
Medical;
Child Care / Education;
Life and specific skills training;
Income generating activities;
Refilwe serves a severely disadvantaged community and HIV & Aids, limited education, unemployment, lack of skills & poor housing are just some of the challenges that these individuals have to deal with.
Much emphasis is placed on ensuring that the affairs of Refilwe are managed according to the best principles of sound and good governance. Its statutory position is that of a Non-Profit and Public Benefit Organisation status in terms of current legislation. A Board of Directors and an Executive Committee govern the affairs of the organization. The Executive Director (Jaco van Schalkwyk) is responsible for the day to day management and implementation of policies.

Phone: 0117966830
Fax: 0117966810
FOCUS AREA:
CABSA is a project of Huguenot College. We presently have three full-time and one part-time staff members. CABSA has various co-workers including volunteers, and uses contract staff for specific tasks.
Head office is in Wellington in the Western Cape and our information service (CARIS) is based in Johannesburg. CABSA works nationally and in Southern Africa, while CARIS is accessible internationally.
“Guide and support Christian initiatives on the AIDS terrain.” CABSA wants to sensitise churches, congregations and Christians about the AIDS pandemic and mobilise them to become involved and make a positive difference. (Churches include URCSA, Calvin Church, Anglican Church, Moravian Church, Dutch Reformed Church and others).
The AIDS pandemic in Africa is characterised by stigma (judgement, fear, isolation), lack of knowledge and indifference (apathy and irresponsibility). The infection rate is still increasing and one in nine South Africans presently live with HIV. There are, however, churches with structures in every outpost of the continent. This means that a wonderful potential exists for churches and Christians to be part of the solution to this crisis. CABSA can help unlock this potential.
CABSA makes information available, creates understanding, helps congregations become involved, trains leaders, is involved in initiatives and supports processes -in order that the love of God, the hope of Christ and the support of the Holy Spirit can be experienced in word and action in the midst of the AIDS pandemic.
Various continuous services are offered: e.g. the webpage www.cabsa.co.za is available 24/7; a “Tip for Sunday” is sent out on request; enquiries are responded to during office hours; information is sent out for special occasions such as World AIDS Day and AIDS Candlelight Memorial Sunday; a DVD has been developed: “Mense wat leef met MIV”.
CABSA creates opportunities: e.g. Facilitates workshops; 5-day facilitators’ training; 3-day HIV training.
The staff and co-workers serve churches and communities to the extent to which funds are available. CABSA is, however, responsible for its own funding. Sources of funding include: donations from individuals; financial support from church organisations and congregations; funding through trusts; project funding and provision of services on contract.
Regards,
Paul Shilowa |
So there we go, obviously I don't e-mail on the sabbath so it gives me time to plot a few steps ahead. Any ideas? |

Ask him questions, like "Which one do you prefer and for what reasons? I don't know much about your area, so your opinion is important."
Should he tel you, try to start a discussion. I don't know if that might scare him off as I'm a n00b myself... |

***UPDATE***
After a bit of time i dropped this bomb on him: I am so excited
Quote: |
I do want to do business, but I'm afraid my very close friend Jeffrey Lebowski passed away yesterday. It was very sudden and has come as quite a shock as I'm sure you will appreciate.
I have now had the idea to set up a charity in his name. Would it be possible for you to assist me in this? I am very keen on calling it "Little Lebowski Urban Achievers". The charity as my vision, will nurture and enable children living in deprived urban areas to succeed and live enriched and whole lives.
Please let me know what you think of this? |

Hello Reverend Horton Heat,
I received your email, I am very sorry to hear that your friend just passed away yesterday and your idea to set up a charity in the name of your deceased friend is a very nice idea and I will be very happy to assist you with the setting up of the charity.
I need more information on the charity and I like to know where you like to set up the charity or will you set up the charity in Johannesburg, South Africa, so that I can help you better?
Kindly get back to me as you received this email. |
Quote: |
I think I would like to set up the charity in both my country and yours. Mr. Lebowski was a very kind and generous man, who actually spent some time in South Africa so I think doing this would be a fitting tribute.
I thank you eternally for your willingness to help. You have a kind heart just like Jeffrey did. |

We at eater have our own church Church of TWAT or something... Use the forum search or check the eater univerity to read more about it.
Making him a member of this church requires initation and building some sort of pyramid i believe. They've also got their own website (for credibility) and their own phonenumber with a 15 minute answering tape (and probably lots more..)
EDIT: Noobishness is nothing to be ashamed of, we were all noobs once (look at my registration date, I'd probably still qualify as a noob too... But taking the general dumbness of lads into account, you're are at enough of a head start by just knowing they're scammers ) |
