It's such a bad job market in the US right now, it looks like the 419ers are having a heyday with sites like Craigslist. Preying on poor people when they're already down and out without a job. Being a security professional, I have always had a good chuckle when I would read the 419 e-mails I would receive on a nearly daily basis.

Well, when my wife was recently applying for employment, she sent in for some data entry job that claimed to pay $19/hr. I had actually seen the same ad, and thought, scam!, but my wife fell for it. I know why she did too: they are copying and pasting REAL job ads so it's usually using decent English, and nearly looks like a real job: until you get the reply e-mail from them after responding... This was a dead giveaway. I won't mention his name, so I and others can have some fun with him first, but let's just say his name is McFaken Smith...

I freaked after I looked at the e-mail headers to see the origin IP was Lagos. I contacted hotmail (his provider), craigslist, and IC3, which have appeared to have done absolutely nothing to stop him.

I'm sure he gots 100s of responses to his ad on craigslist @ $19/hr for data entry in this economy...

I'm new to scam bating but have really enjoyed this website in the past, and look forward to becoming part of your community, and taking up this new sport in my spare time....

This is either a cheque cashing scam, or a fake cheque printing scam.

Could be good fun to make a fake application.
