Just as I was sending a spiteful message to a Lad - the floor shook and things rattled on the bookshelves... I think we had an earthquake in Melbourne.

A 4.7 at 10km depth and 90km SE of Melbourne according to http://earthquake.usgs.gov/ Hope everything is okay!

These intraplate quakes are rare here and it's Friday night party time. Wonder how many people are still sober enough to understand that it was a quake?

yes the 4.6 had the house shaking and windows rattleing

I was in the train when this one hit, so did not feel it, but the house had the rattles
