I'm trolling for new lads, and I sent out a standard mass reply to about 500 lad emails - y'know, "I'm sorry but I don't know why you sent this to me, can you please explain?" kinda thing.

Well I musta had one too many glasses of wine tonight, because I put all the email addys in the To field, instead of the BCC field! CRAP! What a dope.

Oh well. I guess at this point I should just go drink the rest of the bottle. I won't be getting any baits out of that one.

Here's a lesson for all you noob baiters...USE THE BCC! Embarassed

Yeah, I suppose any lads I snag with that brilliant maneuver will be particularly dense, and good for some laughs. I'll let you know if anyone actually bites. You never know!

Editing to add: oooooKAY! Maybe not so stoopid after all! I can't believe it - less than 5 minutes later and I've already got an NOK 2nd level reply! What a bonehead. (And this time I mean the LAD, not ME!)

I take it all back. Even with 500 emails in the TO field, I've already been flooded with responses.

A great baiter once told me to never underestimate the gullibility of mugus. I guess that was sage advice!

I have seen a few emails from lads where the vics are lined up in the CC field, I often wonder how sucessfult that would be but sadly you probably just answered the question Confused

Nice going with your near mistake and do enjoy your most gullible of lads who didn't bother to read your email before replying Laughing

^^^ I haven't seen any that looked like a reply-all yet. But clearly plenty of them didn't notice that my response email went out to Mugu Central. I've got dozens of replies - and they are some of the stoopidest replies I've seen! So I have to agree that this drew in the lads on the higher end of the boneheaded scale. This was supposed to be a straight bait effort, strictly shooting for bank accounts, so I was a little bit annoyed with myself for my blunder. But as it turns out it's not a blunder - as Just Jane points out, it's a modality! Laughing
