It amazes me that some of these scammers actually take you up on email 'negotiations'.

I've got one handle in Gm going by the name of L0u Cr4pper-R0lle of the Wh1te Fe4ther Br0therh00d - Cu1t of Th3 G0lden R41nb0w (hence my avatar) - and still they don't twig and write me in all seriousness! Laughing

What are some of the best names that you have ever come up with, with what degree of success baiting?

Wasn't sure whether to put this in the general baiting area, if that's where it should be, please accept my apologies and move it across to there.

As some of you know - I use 1v@n@ Sukk0k or Succ0k...looks great "Iv@n@ Sukk0k" on a trophy sign Wink

I also use R3v3r3nd H0rt0n h3@t - this is the name of a real band - their slogan was "once I thought I was a sinner, then I saw r3v3r3nd h0rton heat and I know I'm going straight to hell" -- very funny band...

I usually only bring him out when there is a mass bait for like an extortionist and I send voodoo curses - great ladspeak translator at http://translatestuff.freehostia.com/lad/lad.html - it does igboo or pidgin...
I like the fact curses are coming from a reverend, I feel it has more punch.

And I have an account called M@ry L0u -- sounded country to me...

If a lad doesn't want to give me his bankaccount and insists in using WU i come up with K4lle Ank4 (Donald Duck in Swedish) and this character makes the lads mad as hel and eventually they will twig and give me a bankaccount. And i have inspect0r Cl0us0u as a character but i haven't been succesfull with that one yet, i think it is his French accent Wink

I once used two character names out of a 1940's western movie.

My lad recognized the names and the film.

All in all, I use these for my own amusement. A baiter's psuedonym rarely has an effect on the bait, itself.

The London Underground is a good source of amusing names.

I find it funny introducing new characters and sending my lads on journeys around the various lines.

Start them off from Lambeth North and take them to Turnham Green the long way via Finchley Central.

The most silly name I've ever used was and indead the number of lads who replied was slightly inferior to that of more serious names. I guess usage of silly names filters lads, so that you will only have the most desperate or stupid ones in your box. This is more fun on one hand, but leaves out the more clever and hence potentially more successful lads.

The probability that a led twigs on a silly name goes with his familiarity of the nations culture you/your character is in. While nauty parts () may well be known, phonetics () most probably are not. And anything away from English (and perhaps French) can be hiliariously silly w/o any chance for the lad to notice. Look for example my favorite ones, and decide if they are obviously silly for you

I agree on that one. I'm working as now, sounding silly I catch alot of lads whilst my other character has limited success Cool
