Gmail problems, anyone?

I seem to be unable to access gmail. Is anyone else having this problem?

I was having problems with firefox and gmail. Redirect issues.
The gmail manager was reading OK however attempts to connect where sporadic. I tested out on the ol IE and all was good. Lasted about 24hours now all is good in the world again.

Sunspots I guess or aliens or maybe it was that creepy guy yesterday that told me I had good spirits watching over me Rolling Eyes

I didn't have the heart to tell him I haven't had Jack Daniels in 12 months.

I seem to have problems opening emails using te latest version of Gmail, so am switching to the older version (when I have problems).

Doc, I clean my cache regularly (so I don't look like Harry) and that helps. Seems some sites leave a lot of "stuff" (cookies?) clogging up the cache and slow your computer down or don't leave enough room for new cookies to be added.

G00gle sites seem to do a lot of that. I am pretty sure it is so that their sites load well the next time you go to them.

I think that Temporary Files are sometimes to blame too.

I have to use the older version some times too. (dial up).

Gmail had some problems with their new template trying to cache data better, so that might still hiccup a bit. (they've been down for half tuesday here, but not right now)

Cache cleaning sometimes helps, throwing in a hard refresh (Ctrl-F5) works wonders too... GL (a semi-IT nerd)

I've been experiencing lock-up's , then getting a notice in the left hand collum, telling me my internet connection had failed.
Also getting "header" info, was a battle , it just come up with a no connection sign on the new page.
If I went straight from the e-mail to a "header" it would work, If I read the e-mail first, no joy.

A few friends of mine have reported gmail problems. I seem to be ok.
Maybe that bloke that effed' up a few weeks ago is back on the job.
