I just had an idea...

How about we get mugus to each say a line of Rockstar, by Nickelback, then mix it together. I have the backing track for this song, so I could edit it all together and put that underneath the mugus.

It'd be quite fun.

They don't have to sing, just speak. That way it shouldn't be too difficult, use the old "I want to make sure you're genuine, so use this password" excuse.

I think nottobescammed does something similar for his radio show - PM him and ask how it's done!

SlapHappy, Sleepless & I had a lad willing to sing African Queen to us last week. We might be able squeeze some more out of him.

Your plan sounds good, if we could get the lads to sing or speak the lyrics, that'd be tremendously funny.

I hadn't thought to run this past the radio guy, not checked that out yet, that thread.

Good to know others are thinking like this too, just maybe given time, we could between us put something together.

'If' it ever made it big, 'if' being the operative word, any money that the song or music track brings in, this could be all donated to a worthy charity that helps with counselling for victims of these kind of scams online.

Either here or on my thread above, in the other section, I'd love to see some further ideas on this.

I do radio work, so I could do editing and stuff. I have access to various backing tracks as well.

I just tried listed listening to the so called 'radio show' which hmmmmm was sort of, well, interesting in a, well, really disturbing, weird, kind of way.

Wasn't that impressed with it would be a mild understatement.

Now, that would be a perfectly funny track to base it on, that would be funny as hell, but the production has to be a great deal, 1000% better than that 'radio' wotsit in the sticky thread at the top of this forum.

Only trouble with going that route is running into licensing issues.

If we could do something similar, that would be good.

I know another good dj and a vj artist too, I wonder if between us, we could create something.

Between us all, we're sure to have a good skill base if we use our contacts too.

It should be fine, legally. Plenty of people record their own covers of songs.

I'm not involved with the "radio wotsit", I'm involved in radio projects outside of this site.

I just had a go, and I can somewhat dampen the singing from the combine harvester song - to the extent that we may be able to put mugu voices on top to drown it out without it being noticeable.

Vocal removing with Boombastic is impossible.

I have a backing track for the YMCA if you want to do that. It includes the choruses but the main singing is completed removed.

I think his problem is your rudeness towards the radio show. Frumpy often calls in, and I enjoy the show a lot. If you don't like it, fine. No need to write a paragraph about it.

The radio show has been established longer than you have been here, so I too look forward to your work.

Sorry, I don't go for the I've been here longer than you kind of thing, it wasn't rudeness at all, I just said what I thought, constructively, if you don't understand that, that's your problem, not mine.

As for matey, we sorted it out very quickly any misunderstanding.
