I just got an email from one of my lads addressed to someone completely different, an At0nio F@rgas, assuring me that this was "not a scam".
If its a baiter, then great! If not, I'd like to possibly try to track the guy down and let him know its a scam. |

You got an ASEM that was supposed to go to a real vic! Or possibly a baiter...but it could very likely be a real vic.
This happened to me once, and I wracked my brain trying to come up with a way to get the lad to somehow feed me the real vic's email addy. I tried various means, and was pretty close to getting it...and then some (former) member from here messed up my efforts by writing the lad without my permission, pretending to be the real vic - and the lad twigged. He thought he was helping, but it lost the whole deal. It was quite frustrating.
I don't suppose the real vic's email addy was included in the message, eh? Nah, probably not. Oh well, it just goes to show that there really ARE lots of real vics out there...and the best we can do is bait bait bait, close their accounts, nab their fake checks, and all the stuff we do to try to suck up their time and hurt them. That's the reason we're here, in the end, right? |

This happened to me with one of my scams. It may be the name of a baiter that the mugu has borrowed. My lottery mugu did that, borrowed the name of a baiter he must have tangled with in the past.
They're just there to make you believe in the scam even more. What sort of scam is it? If its a lottery one, you can email your mugu back telling him that you think he sent the email to the wrong person, and asking if you can have this dudes email address, since you can celebrate together as winners, and perhaps even get together for photos
Or as Cachuma said, it could be a real victim. Either way, you can try and get the information out of the mugu |
