This Russian girl called Myja emailed me in 2007 and she said that she wanted to come and visit me in Sri Lnaka and she was short of $800 and I was asked to pay it and I was just about to go to Russia so I suggested that we meet in Moscow but she never replied me and she also said terrible things about Moscow but non was true Smile

)

Too bad she didn't want to meet you, you could have offered a large shopping trip since you needed to be shown around town.

I got busy i Moscow plus I had to deal with the terrible winter too and it was the first winter I had experienced so I forgot to contact her

I don't think she gave a phone number of anything but her email and I never bothered to report it so I don't think it's been disabled unless someone else did actually I didn't know much about scammers in 2007 so I had no idea she was a scammer but I had the habit of not sending a penny to anyone I don't know

One quick Point Titicaca,
It was best that you didn't report the email address to the email providor for closing

To explain, your most recent post has in it an email address used by a scammer, lets say for instance that one day a potential victim hasa few doubts and decides to google a few things, a google on the email address that will find your post is a very good indication that its a scam

If the email account was closed, the scammer would simply open a new account and continue, possibly using the same script.
Now a potential vic comes along and decides to do a few searches, the new vic may find some emails that are similiar but will not have that definate proof that its a scam.

As it is now, a search on that email address will leave no doubt at all at to the intentions Click Here

Having the email address posted for the public to see is a good thing, it is what allows people to find them if they do searches.

Reporting them to the email providors on the other hand, thats the bad thing.

I strongly agree with Murry. The scammers are not hurt in any way by reporting them, they effortlessly open a new mail addy. Potential victims can and do check sites such as Scamwarners & Eater where the information they find often saves them being taken advantage of.

I have checked some of my old baiting accounts but haven't found it
