Speaking of laughing buckets...I just finished reading (well, in many cases skimming) the entire 40-something-page bait that resulted in that awesome Cachuma Bohigal trophy - and I am literally peeing in my pants! Ohmygod, I just listened to the final phone call, when Frank insisted beyond all reason that poor beleaguered Dan admit, once and for all, that it was all HIS fault. OOOOOOO all this laughing is hurting! AAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! And he was just so damn INSISTENT! Every time Frank would launch one of his streams of "Hold on hold on hold on hold on," then Dan would say, "okay I'm holding," and then there would be this pause, and then...wait for it...Frank would say for the 100th time, "It's all your fault!" And then poor mugu Dan's arguing and whining and crying would start up again, and I'd have to pee a little more into my panties! OHMYGOD that is some seriously funny shit right there.

Doc, I can't thank you enough for involving me, at least peripherally, in that incredible mass bait. I am inspired now...I've got to get another lad like my old lover Alex M@andla on the hook and get another safari going. Hester is going to fall in love again. Just you watch. Twisted Evil

Hey Simba! It's good to be back and see all my friends. That was a pretty long sabbatical - but I am totally ready to begin inflicting lad pain again. I would LOVE to get another safari going - that Alex Mandla safari was one of the most fun experiences I ever had as a baiter! I went back and re-read that whole thread, just to remotivate myself (and remind myself of how it works). Listening to Homer's phone calls to the lads in Maun was...poetic. I was falling off my chair laughing, even all this time later.

I'm trying...I've got some lad who is claiming to be offering a free gift from Leo Dicaprio, and I'm an obsessed fan who will do ANYTHING to meet anyone even peripherally involved with Leo - I'm smelling an opportunity to visit Africa to meet up with Leo's lackey. If I'm lucky, there may be a Simba Safari camp where we could make plans to begin our love affair! Wish me luck.

I can't help but wonder if lads are getting smarter, tho...I've had several twig just from me sending them the "Can't Detect Windows Vista" error message as an attachment. Don't tell me the lads all moved to Vista, so that won't work anymore! I'm going to have to come up with some other way to pretend I'm sending things to them.

One of the reasons I came back (other than the fact that I have a little more free time these days) is that I've been encountering scammers more and more frequently. My husband sold a car and two motorcycles recently...he got emails from scammers on every one, and some of them were well-crafted and very believable. I have friends who are trying to sell a small plane, and they've been inundated with emails from scammers - almost every bite they've had has been a lad. And my own teenage daughter, who's been trying to find a job, got hit with several work-from-home cash-our-checks emails. Fortunately she was well innoculated, by having a baiter for a mom - but she has friends who almost fell for them! That REALLY pissed me off - young people just don't have the sophistication to see the scam.

And then I realized that this scourge is not getting any better - and what's being done about it? I'm not hearing any media about it, so no real publicity to help the public avoid getting scammed...not hearing about any actions being taken by any kind of law enforcement...Western Union and Moneygram (who I personally believe are complicit in the whole enterprise!) are not making any meaningful changes to the way they do business to reduce victimization. So who's doing anything about it? BAITERS! And there are so few of us. I'm among the rarified few who CAN do something...and so I feel an obligation.

Well I don't know what got me off on this tangent...but anyway, I'm back, but a leeetle bit rusty. I might need a mentor to remember the basics of baiting!
