It's every 16 weeks (112 days) in the UK. I didn't go as often as could have when I started, so it's taken me 43 years to get this far.

I don't give blood, although I would like to. I am an organ donor though, because I won't need them when I'm dead. I think it should be compulsory, and you have to register NOT to donate organs.

Ooh, I just checked and I should get a new card after my next donation (a lowly 10). I can still make out all 9 scars.

They have that rule here in the states too. If i'm still here mid March, I plan to try to donate at my church's blood drive... I think i ought to start taking my iron pills now to get my iron levels back up so I can Very Happy

I only started giving blood at the tail end of last year. Its all for a good cause and could save many, many lives.

Whatsmore, you get lots of sweets, biscuits and chocolate afterwards. Im usually banned from eating such delights but giving blood is the perfect excuse Very Happy
