Well, I've just taken the plunge.
One article on how to spot scams is written and sent to the Womens Institute magazine.
Another is drafted and ready to be send as an editorial to the local paper, and the lady I dealt with in very interested in both here, and our sister site.
And I've emailed my parents local paper to see if they want the same article (since a Galashiels woman got caught by a phone phishing scam).
I just had to squee to someone 
Fingers crossed that it'll do some good in my area. |

I bore people constantly on the subject down the local and the wife just can't take it in that I should want to cause 'people' pain I've tried to explain till I'm red in the face but she just won't have it  |

Excellent news ....
Things like this can (and often do) catch the eye of larger publications. IIRC the Women's Institute has more than 200k members and can be very influential. ..... The major Political Parties certainly don't dismiss them lightly. |

Not wishing to high jack anyone's thread, but there was a very small item on "A Current Affair" monday night about Russian love scams. it seems someone found a photo of Jennifer Hawkins in a love scam

Thats is low. This is what I love about baiting. You can get back at these scammers who do scam people. It's sad that today people still fall for this but at least we are fighting against it.  |
