Hey, some guy has offered to buy my bike from www.motorcycletrader.co.nz which was cool, then this morning i got another email saying he was going to send me a cheque for $23000 which is $10000 more than i'm asking and he wants me to ship it back to england?!?
I got a little curious and then found it on hoax-slayer.com,
i've sent him some details to send me the cheque cause i want a trophy but i really want to wind this guy up, any sugestions?? |

Have you used your own addy? Cause that might be dangerous. Just bait safe |

Welcome to Eater! It's potentially dangerous baiting a lad who has has your name and address. He might have friends who can pa you a visit. Read the stickies about safe baiting.
It's safest to tell him you have sold the bike locally, and don't email him again. |

i did use my own addy because it was a legitimate ad, i gave him my work address to send the cheque to though, perhaps i'll wait for the cheque to arrive and then just tell him to bugger off |

Did he give you a website for his "shipper"? Often they use fake shipping sites to support their scams, and we like to kill those.
Also if you receive a check from him and plan to keep it as a souvenir, don't forget to very clearly mark it "fake". |
