Seriously, WTF! Possibly he would get more info in another 2-3 emails from some sucker. Anyone wants to help me mess with him or take it over?

Good catch, and good research!

It leads to a phishing site that will ask for all the information needed to steal your identity. Sadly many people will fall for it.

I like this on the 'Privacy Policy' page Very Happy

Oh whoops - I think he was intended to put what it is - not copy the wording in brackets. Laughing

Even worse - the wording doesn't apply to what the site appears to be doing - which to be honest, is virtually nothing apart from a link to Wikipedia.

Thanks for warm welcome!

What would you do besides messing with smartass like that? I just started to browse through some stories on this forum, but does it ever end up with baiter/scammer in deeper trouble or behind bars?

Baiters, no. Scammers, rarely.

We waste their time so they have less time for victims. We also provide a resource for potential victims. Sometimes they Google the scammer's name or email address and end up here.

We also have a sister site that advises on potential scams, with real life stories of real life victims. http://www.scamwarners.com/

Gotcha Smile

Note to myself (and everyone else, too):

Never reply to anonymous Craigslist job offer, worst case try to limit amount of personal info you disclose.

I always send a resume in pdf file. Looks like this baiter was too lazy to type it in Wink

Looks like the "Privacy Policy" was lifted from an online merchandise site.
I didn't know gift cards for credit ratings were available! Laughing

We offer gift-cards by which you can personalize a product you order for another person.
Information you provide to us to create a gift-card is only used for that purpose, and it is only
disclosed to the person receiving the gift.

And do 12 year olds even have credit ratings?

For that reason, we never
collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and
no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.

If they're US based you stand a chance of making this all blow up into a big shitty mess, so do contact your local fraud/law enforcers with a folder of printed evidence as a dossier to get them started and interested.

What's the deal with the jobamatic site that's linked tot he "careers" at estaffingpro? There are real companies with real jobs listed there. I have a buddy that works for one of those companies and the site links directly with the real site..

I think estaffingpro uses RSS feed to get some jobs listed from other sources, just to look more legit.

Wow, thats pretty low. Lots of people are going to fall for this one.

Anyway, here's a thought. Reply back (if you're going to mess with them) with random credit score numbers (use something low so you look desperate).

When he sees he hasn't scammed you by getting all your ID theft info from his other website, ask how he knows that?

Then, try to find out if the guy has an OP in America or is doing this all from overseas.

BTW, this is my first post here, I just joined.
