Lad is supposedly a writer/engineer living in Virginia. I told him that one of my dream vacations would be visiting Civil War battlefields (It actually would be...I'm such a history geek).

Yes, were I to pose as a person from a country whose language I barely undertand, I'd also shoot for "writer / engineer" Why not go for the gusto? |

Last December I asked my apparently-born-in-and-residing-for-44-years-in-London friend if he put candles or fairy lights on his Christmas Tree. His reply:
