This may not be news, but it sure is annoying. Not a peep from any of my hard working lads on weekends, especially Sundays!
What gives? Calls for a quick poll 
A. Lads are essentially God fearing individuals and take Sundays off.
B. Lad internet cafes are closed on Sundays.
D.. Why should this bother me, I have better things to do on Sundays.

I actually got a few e-mails today and yesterday. However, the majority seem to be in hiding on the weekends. I heard Church 0f th3 H01y C0w has strict regulations on the Sabbath? |

Answer is A. but their take on "God" and what is considered right and wrong are vastly different from what is considered normal in Western Christian arena's. And I mean there is a huge chasm of difference! |

It's answer A and answer B.
Most lads I've known worked a half day on Saturday, then logged out to go and drink, visit places of ill repute, and chase girls, like most of us do of a Saturday. They like to spend all that hard earned dolla showing off their new watches and phones to their mates. Some hang out in Hotel bars (the richer ones) and others spend time with their families.
Sunday is Church day... and even internet cafe owners need to go to church so many will close for the day.
Occassionally, lads will work Sundays, but it's usually the "self employed" who have a computer at home.
If there is a Maga about to pay though, most lads will find a way to get online, so you can keep pressuring him whatever.
Alternatively, get a phone and call the lads up on their day off, like I did:

Seems to make no difference what time it is for a scammer/mugu/lad... they'll try to scam you in your sleep. If they're awake, they'll do whatever they can to steal something.
I suppose if one (of us) is meticulous enough to keep track of email times/dates, then so be it. I'd rather nap. ;^)
Otherwise I just send them stuff to keep them busy and away from another victim.
Invite them take pictures, print signs, banners, road maps, T-shirts... whateveah... Shiver must have quite a collection of carved coconuts by now... LOL
I'm working on an amusement park in Lagos.... That should keep them busy for a while...  |

Well, it depends... Some lads visit their villages on Sundays and they do whatever people do there. If you have time on Sunday, why not try to keep your lads busy? Mini-safaris to the airport are always a nice option. |

Now that's what I call a partaaaaaaaaaaay.

I noticed the lad usually start work at 1pm Lagos time. That must be when the internet cafes open.
Many lads work till the wee hours. And they love us (esp Ulie Huat) calling them at 4:30 |

Yep, I had one guy baited and he was supposed to pick me up from the airport on Sunday. Guess what? Just as my flight has landed, with me supposedly on it, he calls my mobile and says
"I am to busy to pic you up. I must go to church"
Right..Church..So I was meant to be stranded in Lagos at the airport. What a nice chap! So looks like they don't work weekends, and I never get replies at weekend either. *Sigh, I find it had enough to fill my weekends. |

Lads do work weekends as I get the bulk of my initial ladmails in my catcher account then.
So I guess that's the reason for it. They spam on weekends and it's meatloaf for the rest of the week. |

From Tuesday 21st October to Sunday 8th February, I've received 1,407 Lad emails from West Africa (ie replies, not first contacts).
236 of them were sent on a Monday.
241 of them were sent on a Tuesday.
199 of them were sent on a Wednesday.
206 of them were sent on a Thursday.
209 of them were sent on a Friday.
195 of them were sent on a Saturday. And....
121 of them were sent on a Sunday.
Of the 121 sent on a Sunday, however, only 17 were sent in the morning. Of those, 1 was from Benin, and 2 were from Nigeria; the remaining 14 were from Senegal. |
