I've downloaded the mp3, and am trying to set it as my voicemail greeting. The problem is that my provider's voicemail greetings are limited to 60 seconds. Is there a shortened version of this voicemail? |

In the absence of any other comments
Have you got audacity ? it's a free download
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
Load your mp3 and then edit it down, or chop out the bits you don't like ..... you can also make quite a few other adjustments.
There is also a timeline display, so you can get extremely close to you 60secs. maximum. |

There is no shortened version of the greeting. The whole point of the greeting is its excessive length. We made it 15 minutes on purpose... to frustrate and piss off lads that are paying long distance charges. |

Set up a K7 number. Those greetings are as long as you like. |

K-7 is the way to go. it's free and it easily takes the 15 minute twat greeting....
or, you could just give your lads this # 2o6-2o2-5123 where i already recorded the greeting... |

Okay, thanks. And when people say that it is 15 minutes, is that an exaggeration? The one I've downloaded is 6:09, but still very hilarious. |

I've been looking for it. Since I have been using the shorter 6:12 version, I have not seen the other, longer version for some time now, especially since my HD crashed and burned, and the original file was lost with it. If/when I find the longer version, I will post it in the "TWAT for Dummies" thread. |

I have a very strange problem. I've tried to record the greeting for the past few days using both k7 and eVoice. I'm placing my phone next to my speaker, and trying to record. However, there is some tone in the mp3 that causes it to think that I've pressed pound. I think it has something to do with the stereotypical church background music. Once I almost got the recording all the way through, but it heard that tone again! It is very frustrating!
Until I can get this right, the local phone lines were broken by the ice. |

@The Onion Man - Yeah, the pipe organ must have hit the right note.
In the meantime, while you wait to see if YW or anyone else has the file (I looked hard, too, because I thought I had saved it somewhere,) here is one that Homer Fong did awhile back. It's got awful music, and is two hours long! Make sure you find the worst music in it, if you can stand it!
