We all know that lads tell fibs, but this has the sound of genuine defeat to it

Has the lad really decided to follow the straight and narrow path or is this just another lie? Will she fall in love with my next character and begin asking for money – now that is the real question?

419 scams to them are probably like crack to a non-scammer.

I think they try being honest for awhile and then just get lazy and start doing it recreationally, and then full-blown scamming.
