What is your longest continuous bait?

Just curious to hear how long some of you have strung lads along on just ONE bait..

I never intended to keep this one afloat this long.. but I've had him since May 2008.

We are now entering month nine, and it's only been various forms of simple straight baiting.. most of which I've learned from this very site Very Happy

Is 9 months extraordinary, or just par for the course?

Every time I think he'll twig, he agrees to my requirements and comes back for more

No matter what they say, to me it's extraordinary, most of them bleed to death in 3-4 months, boredom or lack of interest.
My longest about 13-14 months but not with one character, his wife had to take over the bait after a year when he died in Amsterdam Laughing

But it was getting predictable so I let it die, it's gotta be FUN or I get distracted, bored and forget to answer him.

My longest bait lasted 11 months - it began as a straight bait, and then branched out into trophy territory when he wanted to worship Odin...

Nine months is a good result. Keep it going!

nine months, very well done.

most of my lads get punished for a few weeks/months and end up too weak to answer my emails, or so i hope Wink

i think my longest bait was right around 8 months.

for some lads I think these baits (if done right) are like comas - the more time they are in one, the harder it is to break out.

I've chopped his dollar twice, sent him through that control number s3cure site multiple times, made him fill out dozens of pages of forms, now, we are basically arguing because his "assistant" refuses to call my k7 number to leave a few off-color jokes I requested. such a simple thing after all the b.s. i put him through

My longest continuous bait is still going, from shortly after I joined here. Shocked

Lad and I are at 19 months and will hit our 20 month bait-versary in about 10 days. Very Happy

I think he's atypical though; he's very patient and loyal. He bores me sometimes, but I'm shooting for 2 years continous baiting so I trudge along.

If you can add the personal touch, ask about his health/kids/wife/family exchange (fake)pictures they tend to stick around pretty good, treat them nice and apologize when you can't comply and explain, they'll just tag along with you.

The main part of my bait with a very stupid lad called "Ekene" went for just over a year, we had spurious contact after that for about another year, he would occasionally send mail to my character demanding his payment. He is in jail for 419 now so he cant entertain us at present Laughing

I posted most of the bait, I had a great time with him, he was really my only entertaining bait, because he just kept coming back for more punishment Laughing

As of today, my longest running bait ever is at 337 days. It's been a straight boring bait all this time that's been fraught with all sorts of complications. The only reason I started this bait was because of the lad's name: B4ng Hw4ng.

And, he's being baited by J0ck Str4p.

Why this guy is still with me is beyond me. Any other lad would have twigged after 100 days.

My previous record was 141 days on a check bait.

My best lotto lad bait is 21 days.

I am doing my very best to drag this one to the one year mark.

Before I started reading the replies, I thought my two month-long bait was pretty good (it ended when the scammers allegedly were chasing Rev. U. R. Phulovit all over the Amsterdam train station, and to a nearby hotel), and I've had one Russian bride scamstress hanging for three months (not bad since she started pestering me about money a month ago, and usually if they don't get it, they go elsewhere). Now I see I ain't accomplished squat in the longevity department!!!

If there isn't a special badge of honor for baits of a year and longer, there oughta be Very Happy

Not really continuous, as there have been large gaps in between our communications, I have been stringing a lad along since the middle of 2003. I am actually talking to him now, you think after two failed safaris and a countless amount of fruitless ventures to Money Grams and Western Unions he would have given up, but no, he still writes me. He claims he's a bus driver in Lagos now, haha, and it's the same lad because his voice hasn't changed every time he calls me.

I have one pet, I baited him for 6 months the first time, then 3 months, then a handful of 1 weekers, the most recent was 3 months....

He's just like the gift that keeps on giving, predictable as hell, but Iknow he'll go for the $$$ every time, so that makes it fun!
