i figured if i was going to pass myself off as a wealthy but stupid bloke being a businessman in trouble with the law owuld make me seem desperate for their cash; a website attributed to my company look lend credibility to my story. how does a computer illiterate like myself go about it though; as for free, dont want to be spending any money on these scumbags

I am completely useless technically with websites and I have set my own website up in an evening attached to a baiting addie with google.

It couldn't be easier.

I did the basics in one evening, and have added some more today. It's a basic 'what you see is what you get operation.

I wouldn't go to mad making it something illegal or you could lose your site and your baiting addie - so a fake shipping site or anything mentioning anything overtly illegal could get it taken down, but it still gives plenty of scope for fun, with no great effort.

thanks for the replies; first one literally took two minutes from the time i posted it. just got back to the puter from watching "friends". i have tried knocking up a site following a link to freewebs, but afterwards i could nt get any results back when googling it. if i cant find it, how can one of the lads?

You don't want your site to come up on Google, you just need to send your lad the link and that will convince him.

why wouldnt i want him to google it; surely more convincing, anyway, i m a computer illiterate and have know idea how to give him a link anyhow ; hint ??

once you publish your freewebs page, you can click on "see my site"

highlight and copy the link, post it to your lad.

one day, if you get involved in ASEM's or mass mailing, your email address WILL be reported as spam/scam. if a lad were to google your name, he would find the scammer report and your bait is busted. this is why I wouldn't want a scammer googling anything involved with my baiting character (although some have already done that).

besides, teaching him to google specific details would be, in a way, educating them. we don't want that.

thanks for the info ghecko, but cant figure out what to highlight, or how to send it him for that matter, e-mails are a black hole to me, only just found out how to open them; yep i exaggerate not

Search engines *if you're lucky* will spider you once they find links to your site from other legitimate sites. You don't just suddenly appear on Google - in fact it's really hard to get anything like a serious listing on Google.
