I don't feel like going through 2.1 million results, but suffice to say, having the most common surname in the western world should be more than enough to hide me. Half the results are for Doctor Who, too. Surprised

Well, when I use my full legal name, I get results at the top of the search - which was the idea when I was trying to start my own business. Wink

I seldom use my full legal name, however, and many people don't know what it is. I have used my nicknames (yes, I have several) on other forums, but they all seem to be commonly-used nicknames, so I don't find myself near the top.

First-[nick]name + last name would be hopeless, as both are extremely common in English nomenclature. Very Happy

Nothing. Only once it is me (from an online newsletter of a literature society), but I have a fairly proficient namesake who obviously is one of the better judokas in this land. And a few namesakes in the US, where in fact I have a few relatives but these ones are too old to be a direct relationship...though...who knows who all emigrated from Latvia before WW II. Maybe I start some geneaology (and judo) Smile

I´m more concerned about finding redshoes alerting me again to tell me that yet another baiting name, of whose names I am soo proud Smile

Under my nickname I get a synagogue newsletter, and a camp I went to many years ago (both me).

Under my full name I get two newspaper articles.

There are no hits on my full RL name; however, Google asks "Do you mean: xxx xxx". It is exactly the same as my name with the exception of the first letter of my last name (surname). It is a female porn star so my choice of triple x's to mask my name is not random. Shocked

I have a normal name and my two surnames are amongst the most common in Spain, South America and the Philippines. I got around 2000 results looking for my name and both surnames, searching as a string Very Happy

There's a group on Facebook for people with me real name that has over 250 members. A Google for my name (in quotes) turns up 972,000 results, and none of those I read were me, so I reckon I'm safely anonymous!

My girlfriend on the other hand, turns up about 5 results, all about her.

My kids all use nicknames on most websites/ networking so didn't find them
