First bait...transferring money

My first bait has been going on for a month now and I have my lad salivating over the thought of receiving around $10,000. After hassling over Western Union, filling out some stupid form, scanning and sending it to me...twice, he's finally getting his hard-earned money (or so he thinks).

I can only giggle like a schoolgirl at the thought of him running over to his bank tomorrow morning, only to find there is nothing in it! Mwahahahahahaaaaaaa! Twisted Evil

Very nice. Do you have planned what you are going to do next when he says the funds haven't arrived?

I like to wait a week and then blame my bank saying the transfer was returned and the bank won't tell me why or that there was some trouble with the transfer. Then I ask for another account while that gets cleared up ==> Another piggy!

Write back to him to double-check the bank details and quote a misprinted version (some transposed numbers). When he replies to put you right, say you'll see to it. Try to time this for a Friday, so it gives some more days for action to be taken.

This might be time for your friendly bank manager and/or financial advisor to query the transaction; if you haven't asked for an invoice or similar previously, do that now, saying it's the only way to avoid hassles.

Got an e-mail from him this morning thanking me for the transfer and asking me to send him a scan of the receipt. Looks like it's time for a 30mb junk file.

My plan at this point is to keep this bank transfer issue alive for a while and then maybe in a couple weeks introduce the idea of him meeting up to exchange the money in person. I'll throw in some laptops to keep him hungry.
