Alternatively, set up a filthy email account that you can use just for "catching". Yahoo and Hotmail are both quite good for it.

Seed a few guestbooks with that address. Google search for "Mugu" + "Guyman" + "Guestbook" + "2008" and then sign the first few guestbooks that it links to... take some time to leave a nice comment, the owners are innocent people. You should start recieving scam emails within a day or so. Sign 2 or 3 guestbooks, and you'll get a steady drip of 10 mails or so per day. Sign any more than that, and you'll be getting dozens upon dozens.

Another option is to join the shuttle service, where 7 of 9 has done all the hard work for you.

Unfortunately it's marked up as closed for maintenance at the moment.

Some more sources of fresh lads:
You can visit these sites to pick and choose your lad as well. Most of them just report them but don't bait them, so feel free to grab a few.

If you seed your email address in guestbooks, make sure that either you a) reply to any received scams from a different email address (often easier to keep clear for yourself what's going on) or at least b) make sure your comments fit with your baiting persona.

One of my mugus googled my email address and challenged me about the results. He was suspicious already anyway, and I think I bluffed through without making him too much more suspicious, but it's better to avoid the necessity.

Put up a fake resume on monster.com, jobing.com, and careerbuilder.com . You should get a little stream of check mule job offers.

I'm new, too, and this information is useful, thanks!

Although, I have another question. In my regular email (which does get spam/scam-mail, though I could reply to it from another account, right?) I've gotten some scam emails recently that have been like "we've been waiting for you to contact us but you never did, so please respond" or some such. Obviously a scam and whatnot, but did they just hit the wrong email, or is this how some of them start off? Seems very weird to me. I've never used that address to contact any strangers at all.

Exactly. Just copy the lad's email and start writing from your baiting box.

That's how some start off - it supposed to appear as if they sent the email to the wrong person, who will then take advantage of their mistake.

One thing to check is just doing a basic Google search of your email addy; if it is posted anywhere on the web, that is one way lads would get it.
