What other message boards do you belong to?

I'm at a board specially for synesthetes, and at the Barnes & Noble book club. Neither is very busy compared to Eater.

Also, do you use the same usernames on different boards?

I use a guitar forum which is specific to the brand of my main guitar.
I also use a few military, aviation, sports and music forums, but I don't use my username there. I use all different ones for each forum. I don't want my whole life spread over the net.

On a side note, I've done a search of users of the name "Mugatu" on the web... there really are some wierd and wonderful links. Google your own name and see what comes up! Wink

I use the "same" id for all related boards and a different ones on others, but lately I'm becoming a stranger on the "others" Laughing

One is getting to USA(war) minded and I don't feel pity for people who made the wrong career choice and now complain that it's so hard for them and their kids. Comes with the territory I think then. Race car drivers do crash and soldiers get shot at, fire fighters get burned and butchers cut themselves, you want adventure, you got it, at least you were not drafted like I was.(okay was a little rant, but still my opinion)

Hmm... there's a lot of one of my nome de plumes, Raven Lunatic. Links include an Urban Dictionary entry on the "f*ck up fairy", and a crazy guy who supports a team called the Ravens.

Just some librarian and genealogy ones but nothing as exciting as Eater. Well there was a lively discussion one the genealogy one about whether or not Jesse James was really assinated by Robert Ford.

I only belong to anti fraud group forums (Eater, ScamWarners, aa419).

Just a note, you should not use the same username here that you use for boards for real life interests, etc.

I dont use the same username as here as one is a local forum (to my area)which would make it me easier to identify

I don't frequent any other forums. If I did I wouldn't be able to spend as much time here and I wouldn't be able to provide you with the same quality service you've come to expect.

im in here still trying to learn how to use forums i have gone over to ow sister site and im in face book and tagged i have differant what ever you call them things for every thing but tagged and face book and yes im not happy with tagged and face book to much enfo there Evil or Very Mad

I frequent a railway preservation forum that is hardly moderated, and makes me appreciate the quality service you've come to expect.

Grown men flame each other childishly, and users qoute quotes of quotes until it looks like an oblong tunnel.

God I miss my shiny buttons on there! Confused

Scamwarners as well, there's never enough time for much else.

For internet crime stuff I use the same user name in case any of it begins interlinking. I am a member of aa419, here, scam warners, and a tech mod at a start up forum.

For fun I am a member of a programming and computer security forum. Not the same user name there as that's more personal stuff.

I am a member of quite a few forums and use one of 2 usernames.

All of my forum memberships are in relation to scams but not necessarily on anti scam sites, sometimes I will join a forum in order to post a reply to somebody's question regarding a scam in which case I will use my victim support name.

I recall a 4 wheel drive forum I found some time ago as a result of a search on details of a scammer I was doing research on at the time, on the forum they were discussing a classic auction site scam and the concensus was that they should cash the cheque and forward money to the delivery company and this type of thing was normal and not to worry about it Rolling Eyes

While I could see some of the members were joking, others were taking it more seriously and my concern was for a newer member of their site who thinks it would be ok to accept payments like that.

I posted my concerns, gave some good sound advice about scams, explained that the original email posted was from a scammer i was doing research on and I then offered advice of where to get more information.

The response I got made me wonder if I should direct some scammers their way, they were rude to say the least and a heap of them decided to pile on and suggest how stupid I was for a variety of reasons, one for not accepting cheques as payment.

To cut a long story short, anti scam communities usually have much nicer people Wink

I can promise you that if I did, I wouldn't be using my Eater name.

I'm no longer a member of any other forum or group. When I was I sure didn't use the ridiculous name I have here; I do miss baiting as Uncle Vann Dickey Chlamydia...oh well.

Quite honestly; the other forums on THIS particular area of interest aren't nearly as good.

Eater was my first!!

Seriously!! I'd been on the net before for about a year back in 2000 and almost had a wife, almost but I fucked it up. So when I got back on to Tinternet I went looking for another one and got hit by a 'refugee' Thankfully I had some knowledge of what I thought was bank account scams, so I went on to the ICQ chatrooms and asked what could be done with these scammers and so someone gave me the link for here. even then I was a total n00b, hassling the master with crap scams.
