Today is probably one of the happiest days of my internet life. For all of the old school Star Trek fans out there, I have just discovered that CBS has remastered the old episodes and is streaming them on the interweb in HD.

If this is old news please let me know and I will have a Mod delete this thread.

Set phasers to stun. This is great. Being a really old fart, not only did I grow up on the stuff, I grew up with some of the people that acted in the series. My high school chem lab partner had a part, my 5/6 grade puppy love was a make up artist and I one of the main characters knows me by name and went to middle school with my sister. One of the stars of TNG was this cute kid that would open the door when I went to my friend's house. I know most baiters would scream bs, but its all true.

I know this guy that would work as bait. He would dress up with high heels, short hot pants, tight spandex tee shirt, a dangling ear ring and red lip stick. He did this for the local L.E for free. I still have a problem with that, and told him at the time that being gay was not a crime and picking up people was a victimless crime. I suggested bait cars with packages in them during Christmas. He called that entrapment. WTF? What is blowing kisses at men? I stopped talking to him when I found out he was doing it for a dollar a year. He comes by one day and tells me I would never guess who he pulled over. He said he could not tell me, but would read about it in the papers soon enough. I told him to just go away and he left with "Set your phasers to stun, this guy got really fat and disgusting."

^^^No, George is in a very long term monogamous relationship and even married the guy recently. The person that did not make the papers somehow was not invited to the wedding and by someone's account needs a bitch slap.

I had a friend who worked for LL Bean on their phone center. William Shatner himself calls in an order, and she is totally chuffed. She was a Trekkie, grew up on the stuff, and says "We'll beam that order right up to you, sir". I mean, she's on the phone with Captain Kirk, right? Captain Kirk was a HUGE part of her life! Well, Captain Kirk called LL Bean and made a complaint, and had her fired. Set phazers on stun, and then dip the ass hat in glue, and drag him around the tooth pick factory, make him a porcupine....

This, BTW, is not a friend of a friend who knew my cousins friend, this is from someone who got a first hand account from the woman who got fired.

Still, pretty cool that its available on HD, I suppose.
