Good day to all,
i apologize for my english above all (not my natural language).
I read a few times ago on the technique some anti phishers use to shut down phishing sites using some tools that download continuously images (or whatever large in MB) form the target... but i don't remember the names of this tool(s).
It seems to me that i read it on castlecops forum but i can't find the post (or i remember badly and i read somewhere else).

can anyone provide me the name of this tool?

I know this is a scam forum but i will be glad if someone can help me...

Hi gueRRilla and welcome to Eater

I have heard of these tools, but I believe that their use is now frowned on, at least within Eater, as reporting phishing sites to the Bank that they are claiming to be, or to Castlecops here http://www.castlecops.com/pirt is a more effective way of dealing with phishing. This route will get the phishing site closed very quickly.

You are correct in that we don't deal with phishing here.

Submit to Castlecops & co. is a good way to stop phishing but sometimes band saturation is still effective!

Thank you for the work you do for the Internet community and for the stories that are very very funny... sometimes i reply to scammers too but is a time consuming hobby for me!

It means the lad has to trawl through hundreds of passwords to find a real one. Always a good one.

Band saturation a.k.a DDoS is illegal. The problem being is that it's not just the lads site you will hurt, any other legit sites on a server shared with the lad site may be using the same IP and a ddos will cripple them too.

Best go read the"FAKE SCAMMER BANKS & SITES" and you can figure out if that might do the trick here, else report as phishing elsewhere as said ^^

Yes ok... no one want this and for sure we will contact ISPs first more than one time! The problem surface when ISPs don't give a damn or when scammers are ISPs of themself...

I remember that also scam baiting is illegal! In my country to use false credentials is punished with 1 year imprisonment... And i think nobody in this forum scambaits with true credentials don't you?!

My friend I would never lie to my pen pal/business partner, just as he is not lying to me. All I do is keep his attention and work going, just as he wants, only on the payment department I've been known to be a bit slow. Wink

That's my only mistake, nothing on the Internet is real to begin with so what do they expect of us?

We have many LEO's here and if we would be doing something wrong they would step in right away.

I think that is just referring to people impersonating others for criminal activities. We do not do this in baiting, we make no financial gain whatsoever. In the UK it's illegal to impersonate a police officer for example but pretending to be a copper in a bait wouldn't get you into trouble as long as you didn't extract funds from the scammer. And lets face it, he's unlikely to report you.

In my country we have an ineligible, in collusion with the mafia, media monopolist, ad personam legislator prime minister (with fake hairs) in power... he has never been to jail so have I to worry about dos attacks?! (maybe yes, because I'm not prime minister ) Very Happy

I accept stakes! In wich country do i live?! do not look at IPs (not fun... too easy!).

It doesn't matter where you live and frankly we don't care, we look at your actions and results and the Eater rules apply even if you're from Mars, no exceptions possible!
Rodus is right ^, read lots and if you really have a problem with a site, report it to a Moderator, they have been around and will help(but always within the rules)

That used to be true, until Lori Drew got convicted for signing up for MySpace with a fake name. Now safe baiting is actually "hacking", and it's not a minor crime either - it's a felony, punishable by up to 5 years in prison.

You have to read it a bit better, yes she signed up with fake credentials, but was not convicted for that fact.
