A friend of mine found this website explaining how to tell if a website address has been spoofed.

My Avira AV started complaining about a HEUR/HTML.Malware infection clicking the link. Not sure if it's a false positive, but be careful.

Thanks for the warning Dutch, none of the computers that I've used picked that up.

I'll give them a good scan when I get home and make sure that it didn't leave anything.

I use AVG, and I didn't get any warning. I'll do a scan now as well.
I did run a spybot scan last night, just routine check, and was clean.

I only read that one page. I didn't click on any other links, if there were any, on the page.

AVG picked up nothing.
Spybot picked up nothing
Malwarebytes picked up one thing, but it wasn't HEUR/HTML.malware.

If there's anything else I can try, let me know.

Dudes, I am so sorry if this does have a virus on it. I've just had to reformat my home PC from 5 trojans, and fix my parents computer from the 2009 Antivirus on, so I'm rather paranoid at the minute.

No sweat. I scanned the link with Dr.Web before clicking it, (great FF add-on BTW) and it said 'clean'. Might well be a false positive by Avira. The domain was created in 1999 with all good intentions it seems, probably it's Avira going banana's, just thought I'd mention it though ..

ETA: the link is dead now too I noticed ..

It looks too much like work now and I have these add-on's that will do it for me faster

avg scan was ok for me, and ad-aware as well. I think your Avira did a hiccup on it. It's clean. Very Happy
