I have a Scottish Lad travelling into Waterloo station tomorrow at 12 midday. I've been talking to him over the phone for around two weeks now and he thinks we're meeting. I, of course, am actually very far away from London, but if anyone is around at that time, please do head along and look out for him. If anyone is able to do so, I'll pass on what he will be wearing. Also tying to get another London based lad to meet him, telling him that this Scottish lad is me. Hopefully confusion and hilarity will follow. Anyone wanting to see it...?

I am from the US so I have no idea of the area you are asking about, but is it possible there might be some web cams you could catch him on? If you could get the two to meet at a location w/ a cam that would be priceless!

Actually, there is a small bar with webcams inside it not far from the station. The camera's are very good quality so might be worth doing that. I might drag him along there.

He's is not located in Scotland (sadly.) He actually claims to be in Wimbledon - that idyllic place of tennis and honest English chaps, save one. I know what he looks like, so I'll just give his description to the other lad. Should work. He is wearing quite distinctive clothing.

P.S. Here is the link to the webcam he will hopefully be available on - http://www.belushis.com/webcams/covent-garden-webcam I'll tell him to take a seat at the bar. So watch out for him. I'll keep you all posted throughout for any further developments.

I managed to pan the camera down to get a better view of a bird at the bar. Embarassed

That could be a problem if we're all watching tomorrow, so you're the designated driver, Disraeli. Loved your gears, by the way.

EDIT: Check out the Edinburgh cam. A 'live action' webcam, with sound. You wouldn't want to be seen in there when you're supposed to be at work. And who was that woman you were with?

There may also be a limit to how many people can view the webcam at the same time.
Yu may want to restrict it to two or three viewers.

I didnt know thw Edinburgh cam had sound as well!

Not a place I frequent but did spot a haggis there the other day!

@ OD Waterloo is an area in London, major train station etc

Just to fill you in regarding Waterloo

Napoleon delayed giving battle until noon, his train arrived late on platform 2a, missing a vital connection at Milton Keynes, allowing Wellington's British ticket inspectors, who in loose formation on platform 3 were undercover near a photo machine and magazine booth ample time to fortify the overhead stairway and withstand repeated attempts by the French, to enter the public bar and washroom facilities situated near the station entrance until, in the evening, when the Prussians arrived in force at platform 6b threatening Napoleon's right flank. At that moment, the British counter-attacked and drove the French army in great dismay and ticketless onto an overnight non stop service to Liverpool, Lime street.

He was born in Glasgow (or so he says.) Actually I gave him a pretty good grilling on Glasgow and he seemed to know it quite well so I wouldn't put it past him if he has livid in the Big Smoke for a bit. Finding it a little difficult to get another lad to meet him in London though.

I work just over the water from Waterloo, but wont be able to get over there for 12. Gutted. I'd love a bit of amateur surveillance!!

Mind you, Waterloo is fecking busy - would be quite easy to blend in!

As said, he's being something of a pain. I'll try to get him to Embankment/ Northumberland Avenue. There's a good traffic cam there. He should be able to do that. I think he may be a little suspicious.

Huzah! He is walking to Victoria Embankment, finally. Should be on this webcam: http://www.bbc.co.uk/london/content/webcams/547500.shtml However it seems to now be pointing upwards? Hopefully it will look down again. The scammer is starting to get annoyed. I'll try to record our phone calls.

Update: He is now on Northumberland Road! However, the camera is now pointing up to the London Eye as opposed to the road. Hopefully it will resolve itself. I'll keep him waiting there until.

Well, seemingly he is there, according to our phone call, however, he seems to be on the wrong corner of Northumberland Avenue. Damn that annoying bugger. He's been phoning me non stop, so I'll let him keep ringing until he clicks.
