I'd advise not running with scissors. That and reading the stickies, Eater U, and visiting the surplus forum.

Set up a gmail account (or other free webmail) with all fake information. Look in the surplus forum for a scam email or seven that you want to reply to, and write to the scammer as if he had sent it to you. Keep the reply simple, something along the lines of "I'm interested, please tell me more about this".

You should get some responses and then you can just wing it. Meanwhile, there is tons to read here that will help you out. Look at the sticky topics in the scambaiting help forum, specifically.

Welcome to Eater, try to be a bit more forth coming with your questions and we'll do what we can to help you.

If you want to get involved, please read the stickies first, learn how to bait safe, then have a rummage around in the surplus letters forum for something which you like the look of at send the lad a message.
Doesn't need anything fancy, a simple 'I am interested but I don't understand what you mean' can be as little as it takes. (You might even get away with even less)
Then you just follow along as see where it takes you.

Now we have millions of threads on how to get started. The best one is here. Written by someone brilliant... with a rubber arse.

It'll get you going and what to expect. Spend a bit of time reading some of the published baits as well. They will really help you along.

Frisky, I hope you have looked at some of the advice you have been given above. Do you have a particular kind of lad you want to service?

Your mastery of the vague should make you a good straight baiter, so you might want to look at starting there. Reading the stickys and forum guidelines is always a good place to start.

I hope you are a round for a while. You can be a welcome addition to us here.
