After receiving the standard "We know you've been scammed, we're going to compensate your money" letter, I decided to have a bit of fun. I kept trying to invoke a safari at the beginning of this bait, saying I was a wealthy business owner, and I can give the money to him personally, as I'm not allowed to use Western Union anymore from those pesky scammers...but it failed. So I said that I was using my wife to send a payment, not for the original 500 asked, but for a full 3000 for his troubles. My character's name is Indiana Calbs Pies (IC Pies) and my "wife" who doesn't even communicate with the lad is Lunar Pies.

This lad has change his name many many times, though he is intent on one particular name for the payment. Maybe it's his real name? Oh well. Anyhow, I told him the 3000 is on hold until he fills out the correct anti-fraud forms in handwriting. He actually wrote them...but oh poor thing, he only copied about half of each page. He even posted a picture which was "against company policies". I'm too lazy to copy and paste the entire convo with him (seeing as how he liked breaking into a bunch of little emails) but I'll post the last two along with the scanned anti-fraud forms.

I have no idea what to do from here, after I can finally get him to fill out the entire forms. Any ideas?

Oddly, the first was named "manu" the second "chuks". Anybody know what those mean?

Anyhow, I followed up with:

This is my first true bait, hope I'm not doing anything obviously bad..but this guy seems to be on hook line and sinker. I just need to decide my course of action o.0.

I just received the following Email:

am sorry that is all i thimk i can do for now, the form where filled by my account officer and i know the pains i took be he agreed to fill them, it has never happened that such a form would be sent to us so far we have compensated about 2000 persons and your is such a different case, i dont think he will agree to fill them again so i would be sending you a disclaimer form so that you can disclaim the funds. all you can go to money gram to try and pay it in please call me on +[Withheld atm, I don't think I should reveal it now], i would like to speak to you inperson please call me immediately you recieve this mail. please remove the hold you placed on the funds so that i can take the one you gave me.

I have a few ideas up my sleeve, including an ending slap, but not many that would continue the bait for much longer. Any ideas people? I'm sure that I should have signed up for a mentor or something XD. I know how to end this, but I want to keep it going for as long as possible.

Second, send the dufus some money for real. Wink

I would probably do it by sending him a western union receipt like this one:

Where it has the MTCN number, type ***Secured*** Everything else just type in whatever you want. Used in conjunction with m7cn s3cur3, its quite handy =) Either that or you could just do it the easy way, send him to western union a few times with an mtcn and some crazy question/answer duo's. When he gets tired of that, then ask for a bank account that you can send some money to. Of course whenever you give the info to your bank, your bank tells you that the account has been flagged for fraudulent activity and won't transfer money to that account as per policy.

If you want, since he's refusing to fill in forms, you could skip WU altogether and cite noncompliance as a reason that they won't send him the money. That will allow you to skip to getting bank accounts from the lad (those are sent to alan so he can close them down). Then when the lad gets tired of losing his bank accounts, he'll be a bit more ready to fill out forms for you, etc. Good luck!

And if you want to slap him go right ahead, he deserves it for WU noncompliance! Yell at him about it since it costs you fees to send money and he's wasting your money and time! He did cost you gas didn't he? Wink

After you're done abusing him then do all of those other wonderful things that I mentioned earlier. =) GL!

At first he did try to get me to use a bank account, but then immediately said that he "broke company policy" and didn't give me any info, and then was begging me to "use my wife to make the western union transfer". So I did make a fake WU receipt (included the MTCN thingy though, just a random number), and he totally bought the authentication papers. Now I just need to know how to respond to the latest email I got, that is where I get caught up. I have been using the toolkit and whatnot, thanks for pointing it out to me Smile

Also, I can't talk to you in person because I have hearing problems. I usually use my secretary to talk with people, but working hours are over right now, and my secretary is gone until Monday. Sorry for these troubles, but they would all just go away if you would take care of those simple forms.

Go lazy on him, try not to do work on the weekends (banks don't work on the weekends really in america anyways right? can't do a money order at an atm, whatever. he's in africa, he'll believe whatever you say)

When it comes to him wanting to call you or vice versa, ask him if he has access to a TDD phone. Thats a special kind of phone for deaf people. Again, he's in africa. Not likely to have one or even know what it is. Wink

Don't mention the secretary or he might latch onto that. If he tries to, remind him that you want to keep this transaction confidential and 100% risky free.

If he can't fill out the forms, throw m7cn s3cur3 at him. If you've already done that, then do it again. He needs to learn like a good little mugu that he's got only three choices, all of which are your way or the highway. 1) Fill out forms and make trips to WU. 2) Give you bank accounts so you can get piggybanks while his funds are seized 3) m7cn s3cur3 so you can watch him waste time online from the comfort of your email account =)

I think you're doing really good anyways. I'm new at this stuff too, but it is really hard to screw up when baiting these guys. Like you've noticed, they're really quite dumb. Go crazy. Get angry when they don't do their job. Don't forget, it costs you money to send WU (fees) so they better not be wasting your time Wink

So, a couple of days ago, sensing that the bait died, I sent him the following message with the subject "goodbye":

Oh, I'm sorry, I wasn't aware that UN workers went on random holidays...too bad my funds were given away, though I can...still get them? Muhhh? Anyhow, I followed up (really quick like, I know that I could have done quite a bit better with it) with

M7Cn 53cur3 him and post his stats here =) There are forms also if he's unable to process his payment online Wink

If you want to send him a receipt first so that it is more believable, then (at least in my opinion) the easiest way to make a form for him is right here --> http://www.spyrkes.info/wugen/ You can even choose to have the M7CN secured on there.

Your guy seems really lazy though, so you might just want to try getting a few bank accounts out of him before he twigs.

Ok, I'll email an apology after his next response, and say that I re-sent the funds, and the office said that the only alternative to the handwritten forms is mtcn secure. This'll probably kill the bait, but I think it'll be a good ending Very Happy

. If it doesn't kill it, then there'll be an even greater ending.
