Hi Everyone,

A newby here having just signed up today. I had run across a link to this website a while back and I must say i have truly enjoyed reading about how you guys are getting back at the scum of the earth scammers out there. I got screwed out of $2k on ebay about 6 years ago from some jerk in the UK so it's a little like sweet revenge as I have followed some of the safari's these a-holes have had to go on. Poetic justice at it's best.

Not sure if ok to ask or not but thought I would check to see if anyone of the members here wants to fool around with a lad who is obviously trying to scam me. Since I am a newbie, I don't really want to go at him myself, especially since he has my email address (i am not sure if my email is IP free or not).

Here the deal. I had listed an item on craigslist and ended up with an email from this lad asking if had i still had it. When I replied yes, I got this email response:

"Thanks for your quick response to my mail,i really appreciate it.I am buying the item as a gift for my online friend in Nigeria .
Am having a very tight work schedule at the moment .I will like you to send me the total shipping and
insurance cost internationally.I want you also to send me the total
invoice of the item using USPS GLOBAL EXPRESS MAIL.I will be paying
you using pay pal which is very secure,so send me an auction money
request from pay pal so as to know the exact pay pal money
requested. I will like you to reply me back as soon as you are
through.
Hope to read from you soon,
my best regards."

Well I immediately recognized it as a scam but b/c the jerk had my email address, I sent him back a decent reply stating that craigslist was for only local sales and that he should try ebay if wanting something shipped. I thought that would be the end of it but low and behold, I have just received 3 more emails (2 supposedly from PayPal and 1 from him)!! The 1st one makes it look like he has sent me instant payment and the second one is just trying to trick me into beleiving PayPal has researched the transaction and all is "in order"...lol....and the 3rd one is directly from him stating he had sent the money and please ship asap...lol again.

I would love it if anyone of you guys wanted to give this lad as much grief as humanly possible. If not, that's cool as I can always forward the emails directly to PayPal's security department. Just thought you guys could do more harm to him than PayPal could. Just let me know and i will forward you the emails I got.

As Vanndickey has said, please supply all you have, just remove any personal details.

Could I ask, did you reply to this person using your personal e-mail account. If you did have nothing further to do with him, and stick a block on his e-mail address. Baiting is all about keeping yourself and your personal details safe.

While we make lite of things on here, we never forget we are dealing with professional criminals, So setting up fake e-mail accounts, and character names is of prime importance.

If you decide you want to do a bit of baiting, read, read, and read some more "sticky's" , then sign yourself up for a mentor, There's heaps of subject matter on here. And when you post this persons details, someone will take it up and give them a hard time.. Of that you can be sure.

And I'm glad you spotted the scam, before you became involved with this person.

Thanks for the advise fellas. This nutjob sure has been trying hard to get me to fall for his scam. Not only is he sending fake emails that look as though they are from Paypal, not the idiot is trying to make me believe the FBI is after me and is sending me fake emails supposedly from them as well.

Here's what he wrote to me in last email after i asked him for to contact info to see if he was legit. It is some funny stuff:

I wouldn't give you any fucking number. I sent your payment and my account has been deducted.
Do not worry, you will be arrested.
Shortly by the fbi. i have got in touch with them twice now.
If i don't receive the shipment code in the next six hours, guess what............ YOU WILL BE FUCKING JAIL.

SEE YOUR ASS IN JAIL.

I wonder when he states see your ass in jail if that means he is already there waiting on me to join him. LOL

Please, anyone that wants to mess with this idiot will have my sincere gratitude.
