Hi ho,
I want to send a parcel (a standard size box file with some papers, nothing that should be delayed in customs) it might be fairly but not excessively heavy, maybe 5-8 kg's.
It needs to go to Indonesia (bali or nusa p.) and I want it to get there in time for Christmas.
Anyone have any advice on how is best to send it? I know someone in Australia and was wondering if it would be better to send it there and ask them to forward it.
I would need to be able to get a guaranteed delivery date, and as it's for Christmas, ideally I would want the delivery to take less than 3 weeks.
I also don’t want to spend £200 if I don’t have to… |

DHL, Fedex and TNT should all be able to get it there for you within 14 days. It shouldn't cost all that much really.
Depending on where you are located, your own local Postal service should be able to send it. It'll be cheaper, but may take a bit longer than the big courier companies.
Edit: I just did an esimate with DHL (just as an example) and working on an 8kg weight limit and a size of a box file, they will guarantee the date of delivery for £119 and it would take 3 days. |

If you are in the United States, the best way is USPS.com. I use flat rate boxes. The USPS will send you flat rate boxes for free and then pick them up. If you pay online, you save even more. Here's the link to your options to Indonesia.

You can see that you would save a lot by cramming it in a even two flat rate boxes over just sending a parcel. If you pay by online, you get free tracking. |
