This is one of my favorite tactics:
Scammers are always looking for old people to trick. Therefore I roleplay as an old person who has lost their glasses. I just say "Your message seems urgent and I would love to help, but I recently lost my glasses and can't read your e-mail. Could you please send it again with larger font?"
When they reply, say you still can't read it and ask for even larger font.
My record is getting them to send me the original letter back with size 72 font. I don't know if you've ever seen three dense paragraphs in size 72... but for them to believe I would need it to be that large is absurd. |

Sounds similar to my short term memory problem. If they don't respond within 24 hrs then I ask them who they and to explain to me all over again. |
