Every 5th November, England celebrates a failed terrorist attack by lighting bonfires and setting off a lot of fireworks. My local authority spends a shedload of money on a firework display, so I see it as my civic duty to show up.
Anyhoo, its time to subject you to a 'best of' from the pix I took. At least you don't get to see all 167.  Like you give a toss, Canon EOS350D, 17-85mm IS lens, ISO800 set to auto.
Let me know if there's one you like best, or put your own pix up.

Don't mind me, I like fireworks too, but did you ever think about the amount of chemicals they throw in the air? If they had "clean" fireworks I would set them off every night. |

I like the greenish #5 - it looks like a palm tree with red fairy lights.
I miss my childhood bonfire night - penny for the Guy mister? The smell of cordite, baked spuds in the bonfire, sparklers, rockets in milkbottles, catherine wheels nailed to the fence too hard so they don't turn around, light the blue touchpaper and stand well back, nasty burns and eye injuries, marvellous. |

They are all good photos.
I'm going to two public displays this coming Saturday. First one down on the Thames then Ally Pally later, followed by a curry.
I would have my annual firework party at home but I'm working on landscaping the garden a bit right now. |

Saw a great display a few years ago on the way home from holiday. We were 30,000ft above it! It was somewhere over southern France around midnight returning from Malta. Air was fantastically clear & we were able to see it for several minutes. |
