Ok, I have been supporting a local judicial candidate, X, in a bid for a judgeship. I know candidate x personally.

I have "x"'s sign in my yard.

I have raised funds for x.

I have personally contributed to x.

I have endorsed candidate x, in a local newspaper ad listing supporters for candidate x.

Tonight, I will stand outside a polling place holding a sign for X.

So, guess which candidate's mother just ran into my mother's car?

When Johnny voted Saturday before last, he was the only one. Steve stopped by this past Saturday and he was 4th in line. I'll be ineterested to see what it's like when I go tonight.

Well hope you dont run into the problems we had in Scotland when they did three votes on the one paper ( I for local gov, one for Scottish parliament and one for the party we wanted in power )

A flying visit, I decided that Tv coverage was dull on all channels, so I've fired up the laptop to watch it on the internet.

I've got some Budweiser and expresso, but forgot to get popcorn.

I voted this afternoon and told the pollworkers that I was the only person in my household to be able to do this in person. They acted surprised. Both my children are in the military, one received a ballot and the other did not. So one was on the list of voters at the precinct and the other was not. They said it happens all the time for military. My SO is working today and also did not receive a ballot by mail.

I went to vote about 7:30 tonight. Polls close at 9pm. I was the only one there at the time voting. The other 12-15 people were poll workers, and friends or relatives, just gabbing away, laughing loudly, and getting in my way. So I had to say excuse me to get to the voting table to sign my name and vote. Then, I had to practically push my way through them to get out.
I was going to say something like, "So, who brought the beer? Where's the keg at?" But I don't think any of them would have understood. Laughing

^^My monster in law is a poll worker where I vote. She too was gabbing it up and made it hard for me to concentrate (even with a sheet I made to refer to). My wife votes at a totally different place BECAUSE of the monster.

There was no wait here, but the accomodations were less than friendly to those of us who bring our own chairs... . Cool

I got to vote at an open table. Confused

No one pestering about my vote, and I didn't see the clipboard people either.

Yes this was indeed a prolific race. I personally thank everyone who voted and I hope they voted in a substantial manner rather than prejudice and misconceptions.
