I lost my job last friday due to my baiting activitys. so im wont be on to much.
I am trying to find a new job and that will be take all my time.

Holy crap! They fired you for looking at this forum? WTF? Thank God that my employer has not taken that stance. Out of an 8 hour work day, I'll bet that I spend about 2 hours of it online doing other shit than work.
I hope that you find something WAY better quickly. From the sounds of it, finding something better should not be that tough.

Wifey is gone so I have a few min. to let you know what happened.
They had locked out allmost all the internet at work. but they left the e=mailsystem wide open. so I was used it with a remote PC program to excess my home computer to do my baiting. they finilly noticed I was using more bandwith that anyone else because of sending files (.DLL) and stated digging. thinking I was sending stolen info. somewhere.
what am I going to send. top secrit gm part no.? after I showed them what I was doing they fired me for breaking internet use rules.
aclording to the comtract I send when I started we were suppost to have full internet useage for bissness and personal use. as long as we are not downloading porn or anything harmful. which my computer had the lowest records of spyware,viruses or anything,
I think its all because my new boss didnt like me. |

Well, I'm not a lawyer (although I have played a Barrister before).
But depending upon the state that Packman resides in, not really. Many states in the US are "at will" states. Simply put, it means that you (employee) can be fired/terminated any time, for ANY reason (as long as it is not a pre-determined discrimination reason ie, color, religion, disability).
Frankly, I'm suprised that the employer even gave you a reason. In this instance, if Pacman has the policy in writing, he may have a grievence. However, courts may look at his extraordinary actions to circumvent exisiting security protocals as willfully working outside "normal" acceptable behavior.
In all likely hood, he will still be out a job, and the cost of a lawyer that would take the case. Hopefully they allowed him to resign, and will provide a decent review. Being terminated for cause makes it difficult to find another job, as most people want to know why you left your previous job.
Most baiters here (including myself) should take this as a bit of a wakeup call. I've shifted my work off my employers network as much as possible.

I'm not a lawyer, but I got a pretty good knowledge of labor laws.
Outside of the US using your computer at work to do any non work related internet surfing can get you fired. Depending on the jurisdiction, you may have the right to a couple of warnings or first have to be suspended or fined but the point is: non-internet related work is a big no no, especially if you are not unionized.
Bating at work is a bad idea, unless your boos is also a baiter. |
