Hi and welcome to eater!
A friend of mine did a similar thing to his boss when he got fired. Signed him up for beastiality porn. I'd say the cash gifters deserve it more though. |

Welcome to the Eater RTR. I am sure that your heart is in the right place and that you can help with our fight, but I have to point something out. This is from the Eater Homepage-
Quote: |
So what is scambaiting? Well, put simply, you enter into a dialogue with scammers, simply to waste their time and resources. Whilst you are doing this, you will be helping to keep the scammers away from real potential victims and screwing around with the minds of deserving thieves.
It doesn't matter if you are new to this sport or a hardened veteran; if you are wasting the time of a scammer, or frustrating them in any way well that's good enough for us, and we would welcome you to join with our now very large community. |
I believe that by definition a gifter is a scammer as a con requires a confidence on the part of the victim but it is not the flat out fraud that we like to deal with. I would place a gifter as just a lying begger and walk away. As far as filling a scammer's email with crap, I would not suggest doing that. The scammer will simply abandon the box and move on. It takes him less time to sign up with a new box then it does to get him the goat porn. If law enforcement is watching his box, their efforts would be wasted and a criminal prosecution lost. Having magazine subscriptions sent to his home address is also something that we do not do. While it may be more effective to sign up for Goat Love Monthly and have it sent to his neighbor with the begger's name on it, we have the third party rule that prevents that. I am sure that you would never call up a pizza delivery place and have one sent to the begger. It costs the innocent pizza place and the driver time and money. The same would be true with the magazine company. The size of the company does not change the third party rule. |

Welcome RTR....
I'll have to say that I saw your vid and I'm willing to err on the side of caution.
Your methods of dealing with these folks is a violation of the 3rd party rule. It's the one thing we must hold inviolate...
The Gifters may be scammers but they'll switch faster then you can fill their box...
Try venting it a little less directly... Read the posts and see what you can do and by all means do it safely.
Not trying to be a buzz kill, but you have to dial it down a notch.

As first tries go, you are off to an excellent start, Rezzo the Red. Please do take into consideration what the other scambaiters here have written. In the long run, you might find the feeling of fulfillment far more rewarding than the giggle from a quick and dirty joke.
As for beggers, I just got dumped by a begging whom I was baiting for at least the last five months. My begger definitely qualified as dangerous and a scammer because of the things he was trying to get me to do before he switched to begging. I managed to get him to visit his Fed Ex office at least three times before he gave up on me -- maybe more. I managed to waste at least some of his time. I am thinking about baiting him again from a different e-mail address.
BTW, nice video... |

A lot of those mailing lists will send confirmations to the email address and give away the I.P. that was used to sign them up with, so beware. |

It has been years since I subscribed to anything. If I remember correctly, whatever you subscribe to usually sends a confirmation to the email addy with a link to click on to complete the subscription. It's meant to prevent...well exactly what you are trying to do.
A scammer is a scammer I know but on this forum we mainly deal with the 419 type of internet scams. Bombing lad boxes is not recommended here. There are a few reasons why it's not. The reasons are good and they will become apparent if you spend more time on this board.
Honestly, I don't think your modality will have the desired effect anyway. Not to the extent you want at least. Most of the stuff you want sent to him will require confirmation from his box before it's sent. A large portion of what doesn't will get filtered out by his spam detector. As for the rest, well he more then likely does what we all do with spam, which is delete it. He can probably recognize spam just by reading the subject line.
@Angelfish - All your lad is going to do once he starts to receiving more spam than he cares to deal with, is just move to one of his other addys. Then it's business as usual for him. |

If the news letters do get through, and the box is important to him, a more intelligent scammer will recognise the >From< and delete it without reading it or filter the mail to >trash<.
A lower level, Lad Catcher Box, may just get abandoned after time and he will just move on to the next one he has already opened. |

Not too much support for it I suppose. I'm hoping that we can at least waste some of their time and show them the anger they've created in their actions. I have been looking into the legality of it, and maybe a combination of wasting their time and LE coming to pick them up can make things better?
Let's hope they're /removed.

I don't have a whole lot to say that's not been said already, but I just have to point out that you sound a lot like the Angry Video Game Nerd, at least to me. |

Quite honestly, it's a waste of time bombing, spamming, sending stuff from a conscription to a lads box.
If you look at most lads addies, the XXXXX009/010/030/333 @ yahoo/gmail tell you how many email accounts they have under that name
I've seen lads with 25 yahoo accounts, from XXXX01 - 25, all related and sharing the info, they get one spammed, they walk away from it, and use the next in line.
You've achieved nothing, other than waste 10 seconds of the lads time.
And possibly lost any links LEO may have had to his box to carry on an investigation
What Eater has learnt over the years, is don't cause a lad to drop a box. It does ruin any hope of catching them, it does ruin any hope of Scamwarners being effective.
I appreciate your idea, and good intentions, and yes, I feel like bombing a lad at times, but in the long run, we cause them more harm by letting them run the same scam, from the same box, which we know about. |

Like I said before.. law enforcement isn't catching them. I think that's the point of what we do. I'm going to continue ways to harass, assault, and cause distress for those law enforcement does not catch. |
