Hi everyone, my first published bait and it actually involves two different scammers who don't know each other (but are competing against each other now..) Edited to clean up some of the formatting of my first few posts.. It's a long read but hopefully its worth it!

In case anybody is curious, I checked the IBAN on http://www.xe.com/idt/. Truly a "CB" country code IBAN doesn't exist. But the bank is Barclays, whose country code is "GB", so I sent the info to Alan with the addition of my opinion that the scammer screwed up their own script.. Correcting that country code, and checking the actual account number and sort code supplied by the scammer returns a valid account. It would be nice if Alan could donate 1/3 of any recovered funds towards the operation of this website..

look into your account to make sure nobody is trying any funny business
with that! I suspect that as the CFO of a bank that handles huge sums
of money like lottery winnings, there are probably people out there
trying to steal your money. That is my own personal theory as to why my
banks say that your account is linked with fraud.

So anyways, I've thought of an alternate solution to our problem.
Instead of sending money to this account (I can't for the aforementioned
reason), why not just use a different account? That way we can save
time and hurry up and get the money sent to you while you fix whatever
the fraud problem is with your original account. Does that sound like a
good plan?

Please get back to me right away!

The email did say it was from the UK lottery, which is what you are
from, so I thought it was "official" like your emails are. You know how
it is.. It is hard to tell the sheep from the goats anymore these days,
right? I can't delete every email I receive, because then I might
accidentally delete an important email from you or Mrs. Lizzy James. By
the way, do you know if she's married or single? Just curious.

Well, she sent me an email anyways, very nice one actually. I must say
that I do appreciate everything that you and her are doing to get me my
money.

Oh I was curious about something. What is a swift code? I asked my
banker about it when we were trying to send you money on the old account (the one with the fraud issue) and she said she wasn't sure. I figured since you're the CFO of a bank you would be an expert! What is an IBAN code too? I have to admit, before I knew you, the only account number I had ever thought to know was, well, my account number. Well my checks have a routing number too but everybody has that. So please tell me what a swift code is, and what an IBAN is. Really curious.

49. I looked to see what you had accomplished and I must say that I am
impressed, yet, as you said, parts two and three have not been
completed. This is truly sad because as you may have noticed part three
is the most important part! Part three is your MTCN, and that is the
number that you are going to need so you can get your $1,216.00 With me so far?

So I got to looking at part two, trying to figure out what it is that is
so difficult for you, and to be honest I still don't see what the holdup
is. It's quite simple really. Part two has you use the digits in part
one, and it also has you use the digits in the SVB. Part one tells you
how many spaces to move. Simple really. The first digit that you wrote
down in part one is the number 5. So, starting from the beginning of
the SVB, you are to move 5 spaces. Easy enough right? Write down the
digit at the end of five spaces. Your next digit in part one I believe
was 2. So you move forward another two spaces, and write that digit
down. Is this starting to make sense yet? Surely you have an
accountant on staff or a secretary who can handle this for you. You're
a CFO, and doing such menial work as this is beneath you!

Anyways I hope that helps. By the way, your scanner is crab shit. The
image you sent me was blurry and hard to read.

system. Tracking is disabled for MTCN s3cure. Don't you know that? I
thought you dealt with western union on a daily basis. Did you take
form 49 with you to western union? They need to look in their MTCN

The money is waiting for you at western union. I think what happened is
you probably sent some secretary to western union with only the mtcn,
which would work if I didn't secure the money. I secured it though for

sent you, and give her the mtcn I gave you, explain to her that it is
mtcn s3cure so that when she goes to western union to get your money she can tell the agent to use the secure system. I don't know how to make it much more simple than that unless you want me to call western union and have the money put back on their secure website again.

But if we do this, they're only supposed to give you an access code so
you can get the mtcn on your own. That is what is supposed to make it
secure so that you're not scammed and I'm not scammed. If you want a
regular mtcn that they just give you then you have to fill out that
little bit of paperwork that I emailed you yesterday.

So you've got two choices. Option One: MTCN S3cure via the website,
which would mean no forms but it would also mean that you would have to retrieve the mtcn on your own.

Option Two: Fill out the western union patriot act form that I sent to
you, and then send it back to me so I can print it out and turn it in to
western union. Then they'll let me send you money the normal way. If
you do that, then I'll give you whatever mtcn western union gives me
along with a question/answer thing that they'll make me set up.

Make your decision and get back to me soon.

Well that was easy enough. I guess they used stored information from
last time or something but they were able to set it up for you nicely
and quickly. The website is http://mtcn.secure.la and your access code
is 1 0 1 3 4 7 d 5 f 0 7 a 7 a e 4 d 5 1 a a 0 5 6 2 b 5 9 d 6 f 6.
Make sure to remove all of the spaces from that code as you're typing it
in. I put spaces in between the numbers and letters to make it easier
for you to read. You'll probably get all this in an email from them
anyways but I thought I would be considerate and nice as I've always
been and give it to you here.
