I received a tearful phone call from my 11 year old today. Apparently our 5 year old guinia pig passed away this afternoon while my children were at school. While not as tragic as losing a relative, my kids are taking it pretty hard.
So I guess I will get out the shovel when I get home and have some sort of burial.
Her name was Cinderella, and she will be missed.
Now back to your regularly scheduled programming. |

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. 
It doesn't matter how small the creature was - our pets always seem to have hearts much bigger than their bodies. |

Thank you all for your kind words. We had a short burial, said some words, and all had a laugh about Cinderella's antics.
I must also confess, I had an unintended laugh reading all of your words of sympathy. As most were short, your signature materials were right below. So I would get some genuine hearfelt words, juxtaposed with some hilarious lad responses. Perfect for lifting my mood! |
