Sorry if this is a rubbish question, but I have searched and can't really find anything.
I'm curious about 'scam warners'. These mails that come through telling me I'm dealing with a scammer. Obviously I appreciate the warnings, because I could be an unwitting victim, but since I'm not, I'm wondering what the protocol is. Do I reply to the warner to let them know I'm okay? I don't want them wasting their time with me when there might be real victims out there. But on the other hand since I assume they're somehow close to the lads (I presume/hope they're not somehow intercepting my emails electronically!) I don't want to risk dropping them in it if the wrong person sees my reply.
Can anyone advise me please? |

I would contact the warner or the site or a mod here.
They would be warning you as your email appeared in a cc list or similar from a scammer.

Yeah, if you are baiting, just reply with "thank you, I'm a baiter" and they will wish you well and leave you alone, then move on to the next apparent victim.

No, your email isn't being monitored, warners get their victim info from all sorts of sources, but victim email accounts are never one of them. A lot of the time it's down to careless CC listing by lads.
It's a question that pops up now and then, but a very good one all the same.  |
