Go for it "angelfish" just don't use the understanding Anglia, as I,ve just had an e-mail from poor sick Linda. inviting me to give her all my personnal details. It's a cut and paste letter, where she just has to fill in the scam subjects name, except the name is of a differant sort of type. Not real bright.

At least s/h/it replied to you with your proper name.

I signed my mail "Norma Jean Baker" and got back "Dear Baker".

I'm rather hurt by that after I was so sympathetic to her. Sad

I did tell Mrs. Hoffman that I really understand her situation, since my husband also passed away and left me a considerable sum and I'm having difficulty knowing exactly how to use it for the Lord's good works.

I just got a new email, which is exactly the same as the original with no indication that I've ever replied. Obviously, Mrs.Hoffman is paying no attention whatever to replies and just dashing off form letters.

Pretty crummy and careless scammer I'd say.

Should I send my first reply again, and say I think maybe she's not sincere since she didn't acknowledge that I've poured my heart out to her and didn't even remember that I'd answered her?

Anywho, I never received a reply from the lad, I supposed either he got real busy with a bunch of replies by us baiters or your skills at getting a reply are getting much more honed. You are now "Star Trooper" material and Yota is very proud of your progress!

My lad (going on my sixth month now) came back after email bouncing, it seems as though they had a whole ISP go down for a week. I slapped him around for not having a backup email address!

Then the other day I get yet another request, and she's also asked for a Utility account, So I can prove who I am.

So who's got some idea's where I find a fake gas bill, or similar. I can rattle of a fake phone number without any problems, I was thinking about a pre-paid mobile, unfortunately unless you buy the high-tech expensive ones, there's no chance of them working in my little patch of the world.
I'm wondering if in fact she would even bother to phone. Anyone with any ideas would be appreciated

Yes. Scambaiting has evolved thankfully into a progressively, positive tool. Things that were once considered common were doing more damage than good. (ie. Sending fake passports / drivers license) They were being re-used to scam real people.

In regards to the ethics, becoming more civilized will do that to a community. We've smartened up and evolved. We haven't had a good ethics thread in at least 3 weeks. Hang around, you'll see one.
