Yes, it's attached to it. It's one huge complex.

We went to USA with Virgin and if you need a bit of advice about where to stay/hotels/holiday choices/options i recommend you speak to one of their advisors. When i called them, the person i spoke to had actually been to the places i wanted to go to, so gave me info from experience.

Also, for a treat and your comfort i recommend you spend a bit extra on the flights and upgrade to Premium Economy or similar, with Virgin it was £300 each, each way, which is a bargain not to have to sweat it in cattle class for 10 hours each way.

The Mirage is really nice. It's reasonably priced, there's a lot to do there, the pool is awesome, and most of the rooms are newly renovated. I loved it there Smile

I live about 50 miles outside of Vegas. The Pallazzo is very nice. A couple of other good choices would be the Wynn or the Venetian. They are all some of the priciest hotels on the strip though. Mandalay Bay is also very nice. If entertaining the kids is important, you might try New York, New York. Not as nice, but less pricey, and the rooms have recently been renovated. My wife and I stayed there for 5 days in July for our anniversary, and were very happy. Outside of Vegas, definitely visit Hoover Dam, one of the 7 engineering wonders of the world. It's amazing.

Depending on what you want to gamble when I was last out there we found a good way to drink very cheap. The bars in the casino will have video poker machines in them. Gamble on those for $0.25 SLOWLY and the bar keep will pour free drinks. Sit and talk with my friends and smoke a cigar and drink my self silly for only a few bucks plus whatever I tip.

The Bellagio is really really special. I loved it! I agree with Ralph that three days in Vegas is more than enough.
Along with Ralph's suggestions, Circus Circus also does some stuff that the kids will enjoy.
If you have the time, try to get to the Grand Canyon but stay away from the West Rim. It's a complete rip off and not nearly as stunning as the Southern or Northern ends.
