Lad sent me a standard NOK scripted email, but rather than blind copy it, standard copied everyone in, giving me the ideal opportunity to reply to all (except him) informing them of the fact it's a scam etc etc.

With the amount of people on the list, statistically, I reckon one of them would/could have fallen for it.

Anyway, that's my good deed for the day. Back to baiting Cool

You have to hope that spam filters don't see your Fw email as spam, combined with the mass-mailing...and get your account killed in the process!

Good news though at least you may have saved a few people Smile

Good Idea. A better on is to pass the info on to the Mods. They are Pros at warning people about scams and have set procedures in place. This will also protect you from being reported as a spammer.

Scammers often send their mail to hundreds of recipients.
Quite often the list is visible to all.
One addressee sending a response to all of the others is a futile exercise and may often lead to more problems.

If you receive a message with a whole list of other addresses just send it to one of the Eater Mods and we will deal with it quickly and without causing you any further problem.

New here, just wanted to say that I think I received your reply to that mail.

Kind of obvious for any potential victims, though, when there is a list of people the email was sent to attached to said email when it is meant for your eyes only! Rolling Eyes

Anyway, I've been reading this for a few months now and just decided to start a few days ago, so I'm only a few emails into my first bait. Taking it slow for now. Smile
