Wow. That's quite an accomplishment. That is a very long time for this safari. I love that someone broke Adamu's record. I do wish I had a little more interest in them. We kind of just left them there to rot.

Is there anyone who would like to defend them? Should we send them money to get home? For some reason, people don't like Miracle and Co like Adamu.

I think that's what makes them so funny. With adamu, you guys were constantly working on his and the leg, at least that's how it seemed when I was reading through it. The Miracle Network took some work to get them there, and then, like Jayhawk said, it's as if they set up permanent residence. Didn't one of you Abeche 3 say a while back that they were still trying to scam you on some of your other unrelated characters? Makes me think they might be still getting some money out of some people out there, and that maybe N'Djamena isn't all that bad after all. I may just have to take a trip out there myself someday......... nah.

Well, I happened onto this forum after checking out someone trying again to scam me <sigh>.

Imagine my delight when I found people not only deleting these emails, but actually jerking them around and wasting their time so they cannot spend time creating real victims.

It took me a week to read through all 151 pages, but it was well worth it. I haven't laughed that hard in some time! And the NPR interview was pretty good IMHO.

We have here a textbook example of really well done social engineering. Kudos to all involved, especially the 'puppeteers' pulling all the strings!

Anyway, I think I've found a new place to hang out. Maybe I'll learn enough to have a try myself in due time.... Twisted Evil

Is this the first time a safari has resulted in a permanent relocation?

I think Adamu and the leg were more popular because they were so whiney. Miracle and Andrew seem to have taken things more in stride by comparison.

Amazing that they haven't starved, or been shot at. Most lads would try their hardest to get out of Chad but these guys just mope around all day. They don't seem to be suffering.
