I joined a free dating website and this guy posing as Allen Haynes contacted me saying he was European. He gave me a number to call which i did, +447024052115 which is a English number. I rang it and he had a very strong Caribbean accent but claimed to be European/American. When we chatted on MSN, he kept sending me a url to a website in Vietnamese with a link to download something that had a virus. He also contacted me claiming to be Luis Maxwell and that he was Domenican. Warning, this guy is a scammer. |

Hi Hayley nice to see you are on top of it.
Have a look at our love dating forum and you will see they target anybody they can. Women, men disabled people. Love scammers go for the heart and that can really hurt a victim.
Have a good look around. There is a great lot of info here so take your time.

It's a UK number but it redirects to the scammers number (probably a mobile phone). He could be anywhere in the world.
He's only after your money, of course. |

It looks like a UK mobile phone number, but as Tambourine says, it is a redirect service that goes to his own phone overseas.
You can spot it by the number: Any number beginning with 070 is a redirect.
Scammers do indeed target dating websites. The good news is that we target the scammers who hang around on dating websites. Why not join in?
