Hi all,

I'd just like to say that YW is one tough muther. He's been training for a long time now to get ready for this, and I know I couldn't have that much perseverance, and I greatly respect him for that.

Since we've been friends for such a long time, actually more like brothers, I just have to let everyone know that YW is a great guy and has always showed an intensity that borders on superhuman in many things in his life, and I wish him the best of luck.

I was supposed to be his crew on this massive expedition, but our family has a new baby (unplanned as it was), so, Ook, I really would like to say thank you for volunteering for this. I was worried he would have to do it alone.

Good luck, buddy, and I'll be checking in with your family to make sure they are taken care of in your absence.

Keep the shiny side up.

Oh yeah, and try to cut down on the amphetamines.

I have also secured Jenna Jameson for you when you get back. Your wife said it would be fine, and she'd like to experiment. Being a woodworker, I'll be installing a trapeze, tie-down rack, and a frame for that big mirror above the bed. Your wife asked if I could make a cat-o-nine tails, but I don't work in leather, except on the weekends where I'm Zorro at Chippendale's.

Ok, so I've been hearing from YW and he's doing fine on the drive, and is more than halfway there.

He said that my suggestion for a H.E.R.E module has been working well for him.

H.E.R.E. stands for "Human Element Range Extender," and is basically an empty 2-liter Mountain Dew bottle taped to his weiner. No stopping for YW...

I will call him today, but he should have been at the race site yesterday evening. Now it is just getting ready for the race. The race starts Friday morning but because I have to work I wont be there until the evening. I will let prof so and so know when I get there and how things are going.

YW has successfully arrived at the race site and has already test drove the entire 20 mile course.

He's doing good and says the course is really nice, and he finished the practice lap in 1:02, but he was in no way pushing it.

Well, YW should be well and started now. I am on my way to see him, and I will call Prof once I get there for the first update.

Well, riding a bicycle for 36 hours...

I think I could just get really hammered and sit on a sawhorse for about 15 minutes and that would be enough of a simulation for me.

Well, I just got a voicemail from Ook, and unfortunately, YW has been pulled from the race. It was apparently very hot in that area during the day, and many competitors were pulled from the competition either for suffering heat stroke, or appearing on the verge. Some were taken to the hospital, but thankfully he wasn't that far along.

Definitely a bummer. He trained really hard for this race, and I'm sure he's not too happy about this. His plan was to pace himself through the day, and then really make some time at night. It's unfortunate that he didn't get the chance to ride the course at night.
