Love puppy scammers? Hate scammers impersonating real charities? Then here's a scammer for you! This one was too special for surplus.

PetRescue.com is a real charity (note he got the name mixed up in the actual email). They are already aware of the use of their name, and have a warning posted on their website. So now not only do potential vics think they are getting an adorable puppy, they also think they are helping a rescue to save even more...

Forwarded to me from a rep for a dog rescue who received it, unfortunately she didn't understand the "full headers" request, but if this guy's email hasn't been shut down yet, I hope lots of people are willing to give him what he deserves.

Comengetit:

Headers can be used to help identify where the email actually came from, which is never where the scammer claims. For instance, a quick check on the headers here shows UK, while the scammer claims to be with a shelter in Florida.

He he the good professor got a bite...lets see how long this lasts, I decided to use the same script as the previous puppi scammer as it is working and shows either how low these guys are or how little they read of what you write to them...

I am exchanging messages daily from two different email accounts. I get email from them almost everyday. Once or twice I've sent "Hey, where are you?" messages.

I checked and the most recent email has both from and return-path pointing at . The X-Originating-IP is 212.100.250.230
so the scammer is not at a fixed ip. Both the original IP I poseted, and this one come from a service "turbodial" or something like that which is in the UK.

The lad has $700 waiting at the WU for him. He keeps forgetting to explain to (ignorant) me that the he needs a MTCN.
