I am not sure about all love lads, but mine is pretty sad for a romance scam artist.

She sent about a week of scripts with photo's attached. Then told me she is coming to my country but wanted to borrow $ for visa (980.00).

If I couldn't connect with my lad... I wonder how a victim would fall for my lad. My lad was like a robot, so I kept dropping one liner e-mails. Obviously, it was never read. Very Happy

By the way, this is my first love bait. I think I'll be doing more of this.

You'll take care of her visa for her, all you need is some basic info Twisted Evil

and two passport pictures, no problem at all, one or two days. What flight is she on? Or better you'll pay her ticket, but you're gonna need that passport again. Just turn it around, real helpful and have her supply the facts, if she refuses she doesn't love you Wink

Immigration papers? They are online you know! Don't push too hard as they might twig being forced of script, have her go through the sears catalog online so you can buy her a warm coat, it's getting winter here Very Happy

You're right Anti. Some love lads are so script focussed that they don't come across as believable at all. For a while I wondered myself how they ever managed to convince someone.
The thing is, love scam victims are similarly focussed, they just look for the positives in the message, and they block out the stuff that doesn't make sense, because often it's the only hope they have had in a long time that someone likes them. They get blinded by their runaway feelings, which in my eyes makes this type of scam the most evil that there is.

I have a couple of RL friends that were taken in by lads. They are bright, college educated, and have loads of common sense.
They are the reason when I discovered Eater that I decided to bait the romance lads.

It can be boring spending hours chatting with them in YIM, but I keep it up because while I'm keeping them busy, they aren't scamming a real victim. I also keep in mind what my mentor told me - A long YIM is really the best trophy of all.

Hmm... I guess everyone is different. My lad was too script driven, well, it's a good thing. She's definitely not a good listener...

I'm thinking about skinning her for a nude pic with a sign. I guess 5000 cash with a promise to send another 5000 would blow her clothes off. Idea

Is that possible? Or should I just ask for a normal sign trophy?

Anything's possible, look at the pics that Wayne and Stepan Fetchit have managed to get.

Realistically, it's going to be easier to get a sign, but that's working on the premise that they have access to the girl in the pictures... Is this "girl" in Africa or Russia?

I once got nude pics, but it was only from a soft porn set of photos that were obviously stolen.

When u mentioned script I suspected Vlad rather than lad. As for whether u have a chance at a trophy u need check the headers again. The HELO in it will give u an idea of this. At present lots of Vlads from free sites whose IPs resolve to YO are run by one group - PHILKA or some vaiation on the name or have mshome in it. In any of these cases the group uses stolen stock photos of the girl next door type and are not generally interested in supplying trophies.

Vlads are more suspicious after Wayne Stepan Up N Under and others have baited hard so best to introduce the reason for the pic gradually and if u demand nude pics most wont agree and will cease commumication.

This is very true and something taught to me by one of our romance masters, I photoshop picture can take a lad as little as a few minutes to produce, (if you dont believe me take a look at the hall of shame) even a real photo will take the scammer no time at all so long as they have access to the person in the photo. The long YIM on the other hand shows exactly how long you have kept him busy and at $1 per hour for the lads it is also wasting their resources.

Romance scammers are fun and you can always direct them into other areas if you wish, one of our favourite romance lads is dealing in art for us now, another collecting an inheritance, you are limited only by your imagination and the love you share with your pet.

Trophy pics on the other hand, in the romance department your best bet is a known picture providing vlad or play the part of a woman and catch yourself a lad who is playing the part of a black man, then be patient.

Oh, one last piece of advice, check the romance sticky, as a seasoned baiter there will be many things in there that you will allready know but romance baits do have their own distinctive charactoristics that can be learnt by reading through the sticky
