The new Eater t-shirts are here!

The current inventory is:

These shirts are just a little different. They have the website under the Eater logo on the front, and the tagline on the back was chosen by Rover and Shiver. Very Happy

The price of a t-shirt is still $20. The shipping cost is different, and this is an estimate only:

$10.00 International

If the actual shipping turns out to be more, we will adjust as necessary.

I wouldn't say it's a necro Bertrand, it's a farly often revisited thread. Smile

I don't wear mine in public, just around the house etc, but that's only because I never really wear T shirts outside. I prefer shirts with collars, just my personal preference. As for a safety issue, I can't see that it would present a major issue.... most scammers wouldn't know what 419eater is, and even if they do, you're not that likely to run into a scammer that knows on a day to day basis. The motif on the front is quite subtle too. I reckon it's such a tiny risk that it's almost 100% risky free! Laughing

I wear mine wherever I want to. If I run into a scammer and he doesn't like my shirt, then he can stop scamming. Wink

Anything smaller and I tend to pop the sleeves off. Laughing

As far as meeting a scammer while waring the shirt, well being the helpful good person I am, I think I'd embrace them and have a heart to heart talk down some cozy dark ally about their next career choice. Wink

It's something I've wondered about too. We're constantly advised to bait safe, never give out RL details,and told there are lads everywhere. Wearing a 419eater teeshirt in public seems to go against this advice.

As with so much else on the forum, if you're not comfortable, don't do it. Smile

Wearing the shirt is not an admission that you're a baiter. I wear mine out with pride, and if anyone asked in circumstances that made me uncomfortable, I'd tell them it was a present.

My roommate noticed the thread on T-shirts and said, "But where could you wear it?" She was joking, really, as she agrees with me that educating the general public about scams is paramount.

OTOH, if somebody can read the website on the front while I'm wearing a shirt -- well, they're too darn close! Very Happy

Yes, I plan to order one, as soon as I figure out how to pay with PayPal. (So far I've only been paid that way, never the other way.)

It does. I was just asked about my T shirt today.
I kicked the guy in the balls, pulled his head forcefully down onto my knee to break his nose, then flipped him round and broke his arm up his back. I then threw him down a trash chute in chinatown. He should have minded his own business. Wink

IMHO, Eight has a very good point. Wearing it out in public doesn't mean that you are involved in any way in baiting but it does indicate that you are anti-scam. As I stated before, I wear mine out all the time, also with pride, and I get questions from people that had no idea about scams. It gives me the chance to educate them.

The people that own the shop where we had the shirts printed got so curious that they came here to Eater itself.

A question for those that have bought shirts - if you aren't going to wear it out anywhere, where are you planning to wear it? Wink

That reminds me...I wanna order both shirts, black and white.
I have the first shirt, and wear it outside, but nobody has asked me about it yet. I'll tell them about the site and what we do here, if I ever get asked about it. If a lad ever approached me and gave me any hassles, I'd tell him to, "Watch out, King of Fools, as I'm one of the GomerBoyz!"
