…because now, am left with nothing and remember i told you my Guy (Joe) gave up earlier this morning |

I think they're talking about Benin City, Nigeria rather than Benin the neighbouring country.
Edo State to the east of Lagos is notorious for trouble (I mean more notorious). |

Amazing as it may seem, I believe that Lagos is one of the safer towns in Nija. As you go south-east, you get into heavy oil country, Owerri, Port Harcourt, places like that, which were the heartland of the Biafra rebellion, and where the scars haven't healed yet.
That is the heartland of the I(g)bo people, who detest the Yoruba, who live further west, mainly in Peckham, south London. 
I may be wrong, but I believe the Ibo are disproportionately involved in scamming, hence the common ethnocentric reaction from scammers to my insults: "U FUCKING ILTILERATE YORUBA FAGGOT." |

Non-scamming Ghanaians woudn't agree with you. They think they will get robbed as soon as they arrive in Lagos.
So if you are looking for an adventerous safari destination for your lad, don't forget Lagos, the sprawling, hellish, bizarre, nauseating, but ultimately "charming" (in-its-own-sick-way) megacity!  |
